@DJB I’m a Democrat but I dont think people should be sneaking into the country and buying stolen identities. I do think the employers should be prosecuted . If you’re a US citizen, they could be using your ss #. You’re okay with that?
If you’re getting a paycheck, the taxes they take out pay for these benefits. You should be able to use them if you qualify. This is discrimination. Targeting a specific group of people based on their native country.
Amen. But hate 2 say all of us r paying for it and the majority of us DONT EVEN QUALIFY TO USE IT. Thts what bothers me abt it altogether. Im paying 4 something tht god forbid something happens. That i cant even friggin use anyway..Sht pull my history and REFUND EVERY DIME I PAID after i stopped being able 2 qualify! That is wrong. And im still paying 4 something that i havent qualified for since 2010! I dont mind having programs out there 4 emergency situations. I am for it. But the people paying should also be eligible 4 it. @taltal milal that’s the point, by his new rules she wouldn’t be. When people are fleeing to an unknown place due to political or targeted violence, they rarely have jobs or self security – hence seeking asylum. I work with many immigrants and in St Louis many Bosnian persons moved in some years ago. Although they needed a bit of help at first, they proved to be hard workers and entrepreneurs, contributing more to the community than they needed to get a fresh start.

I heard a person complaining how they had to pay 25$/hr to get people to work for them because of low unemployment … Why do Dems call for a government imposed minimum wage? They also complain that people are not seeing a growth in income…DUH! If there were not enough CITIZENS available to do the job at “X” wage then the companies would automatically have to pay more to stay in business and attract new employees …they do not have to do that if they can simply import more low skilled workers ..automation is already doing a great job of killing off low skilled jobs
