It was Bill Clinton that helped broker the deal to get Ukraine to give up its nuclear weapons. And I believe if Ukraine still had its nuclear Arsenal Russia would have never dared invade. And of course part of that deal Clinton made was we would defend Ukraine if Russia invaded.

@Joe K I didn’t know this Joe. Interesting. What I struggle with is the battle in your country between left and right. It’s so destructive and credibly one sided.
So, the facts I know. The world stood by as Urkaine was invaded by Russia because it suited them. Much like they do now with Israel, Syria and Yemen.
Let’s forgive our misunderstanding of the Middle East for a moment. Lets focus on the countries like Moldova and Romania. What support do we give them? Nothing. Until people come first, our world will not change.
It beggers my belief that your President stands for Urkaine and not for Palestine. After all, the Middle East opened it’s doors to Europe in War I and II. What the now?

Funny thing, he had to get permission from Moscow to visit Kiev and Ukraine. If you don’t believe this, usually a US president doesn’t announce to a 3rd party about visiting someone else’s country. RUssia could have said we will keep bombing and he wouldn’t have entered Ukraine.
