Broadcasters (not just Fox) continually claim that they are providing what their audience wants to hear. It’s quite the reverse—the broadcasters’ (whether radio, TV, podcast, etc) goals are to shape audiences around their own agendas.

One workable solution is to get rid of the talking head propaganda-fiction staff and stick to actual, vetted, journalism at a level that can win peer recognition within real journalistic circles. (Pulitzer Prize or equivalents …) FOX networks have never delivered this, so they’ve got themselves trapped between a willfully ignorant audience looking for confirmation, and sponsors who also prey upon such an audience.

I worked in the media for 20 years. Program Directors TELL people what they can and can’t say. You can’t way what you want or what you really think.
I think this might be beyond that sort of thing.
I do not know how anyone hearing this story, especially about the lawsuit, can even turn into Fox News anymore and take it seriously.

I am not an American, but I still get anxious about the direction in which the Maga movement, especially those in the government, are influencing the direction of the country.
Where do you get your news from about America? Salon? The Guardian? Your ignorance of the “Maga Movement” is obvious!
Many Americans will do well to read world history, especially the events that led to the rise of the 3rd Reich, and try to learn from it….if it is not asking too much.
Not just the Third Reich, read also about Mussolini’s Fascists, who Mussolini appealed to and how he did it. Read who he blamed (the Socialists and Communists), and who supported him. The game plan of Hitler, Mussolini, and Trump are close to the same. Talk about restoring the former greatness, don’t attack the super rich and major corporations, appeal to the “patriotism” of the workers, arm domestic terrorist gangs, blame one or more groups of people and the left, and build the whole government around the cult of one man!
