This reminds me of when the Soviets would fly their Tu 95 Bears off the east coast of the US. The fighters would go out and intercept them. The guys in the planes would wave and throw peace signs and one instance, a tail gunner even held up a Playboy magazine. Not sure how often it happened like that. Probably more than we know.
