    1. The thing with politics is that it only matters how ignorant the audience is. Anyone who buys the party line crap is ignorant.

    1. @šŸ»TeddyBears4LifešŸ¤Ž
That he was. A Rhoads scholar that had the budget balanced.
He would have been labeled one of the best presidents ever if he could have kept that thing in his pants.

  1. A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.
    Marcus Tullius Cicero

    1. @Charles L Jones It May not be original and it may be redundant but itā€™s an honest expression of how millions of Americans feel

  2. The problem with today is the people’s mindset has changed from thinking about a us as a community to thinking about oneself.
But one man only can’t move mountains, it does that a community to survive and thrive.

    1. Exactly. The Culture of Narcissism and The Image is here and it has damaged the weakest of the thinking population, on both sides. Severely.

    2. @Marcel Lara It is very sad to see a large portion of the nation think/believe/FEEL that they are the only true representatives of an ideal that they think/believe/FEEL they alone know.

    3. @usa911 You are simply continuing the issue we could very well always have. ā€œMine! Mine! Whatā€™s in it for me? Whereā€™s my deal?ā€ It gets old hearing that drivel.

  3. Iā€™m a republican and thought Clinton was pretty good.

Who cares about his cigar habits? I donā€™t, he was good at his job and thatā€™s what you want from a president

  4. Well spoken. One of the most intellectual Presidents we’ve ever had in šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø. We love you Billie šŸ˜ ā¤.

    1. “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” Matthew 5:38-39

“Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar’s. And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.” Luke 20:24-25

“And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” Matthew 6:5-6

“But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.” Luke 14:13-14

    2. Not just smart but HONEST!

      GOD BLESS HONEST POLITICIANS!!!

They are rare and should be treasured like our nation’s very soul depends on it because it fucking DOES!

  5. Bill Clinton. A democrat from the heartland. A man that conquered a great range of people from different sensibilities. That is what we need in this toxic enviorement. A man with his flaws but a competent man.

    1. @Studebaker Hoch are you making the argument that Clinton is as bad as Trump? Or that what Clinton did was okay because Trump did it too?

  6. I truly forgot what it is like to have automatic respect for someone. This is the first Bill Clinton interview Iā€™ve seen in years. You see it in his face, you hear it in his words. Immediate recognition of intelligence. I wish he was available once again. I think Hillary wouldā€™ve been an amazing president as well.

    1. Always enjoy hearing him speak. So amazingly intelligent. HIllary would have been a great president. I was looking forward to her bringing back the fireside chats.

  7. Something he said really stuck with me. Policies have to be about the people, not the politician. Too many actions from politicians from both sides have been about politicians look good to a base, not helping the American people. That is why there are so many independents like me, more than in any point in time from the last 50 years.

    1. Bill could lie with the best of them a friend of Epstein gets no repect from me no matter how much carisma he has and he’s lucky Hillary kept her mouth shut about him

  8. This interview reminds me why I’m so torn about the Clinton’s. He’s such as intelligent, conscious speaker. It makes you miss the days when people disagreed respectfully. I appreciate Bill’s insight – he’s not wrong. You need to make your speeches and ideas about the people, make a few of them see how legislation benefits them and isn’t scary. Stop making everything dramatic. He sure isn’t perfect lol but I am reminded why I appreciated his time in office.

    1. @tishwitch Lewinsky is someone’s daughter.
Bill made a mistake. Let’s show some humility and put that past where it belongs in the 6ft hole. Bill had a fabulous productive presidency. .Monica grew up. Its over. Those who have not sinned can cast that 1st stone. Oh? No one. Good go and sin no more.

    1. @oddjobbob I get what your saying but having been on the end of a large number of passes
Women can be just as bold if not more so than men
And I’m going to go out on a limb and say if she was the replacement woman instead of the fling…..

There would be no sour grapes

The man is EXTREMELY eloquent, intelligent and charismatic so she was swooning no doubt

We are all revisionist when it comes to history, some is perception some is ego some is wishful and unfortunately the rest is generally for personal gain-attention

    2. @Melting Pot youā€™re correct. I didnā€™t make the correct connection between ā€œdepends what state youā€™re inā€ and the comment of USA911. But for WeeWilly nothing was absolute, everything depended. Ultimately, for him it depended on his wee willy.

    3. You are so right. It’s why so many loved him as our POTUS.
In my opinion..one of the greatest Presidents here in the United States.

    1. In addition to Bill Clinton, one other recent similarly polarizing president could do what you describe: Richard Nixon.

  9. His comment that it is ā€œEasier to bash down barns than build themā€ is spot on as is his take on the core principles of right wing political strategy- ā€œkeep the people dumb and scaredā€
This man towers over Trump intellectually

    1. @John D first off Iā€™m not on the left. Not even close. But Iā€™ve seen far more negative hateful comments from the right. Nearly every negative and especially hateful comment I check the comment history. 99% are trumpers. He brought that out. There are still some respectful people on the right. Iā€™m not referring to them. Itā€™s the ones who follow trump.

  10. He is an international statesman. Internationally respected, Intelligent and diplomatic. He has the countryā€™s interests ahead of all else.

    1. @Thrift Shop I was going to Marthaā€™s Vineyard to vacation but was told they donā€™t like brown people. šŸ˜¢

    2. True, but what he started abroad in terms of using p.lia to gain political power came swinging back very hard under trump

  11. All hands on deck for November. We really need the clear communication that Bill Clinton can bring. His ability to reach out to people the north AND the south is legendary.
