I was a young Kid during his governorship. My family is staunchly liberal and my parents never voted for him. We still idolized him in our home. He represented that we can disagree on political matters without loosing sight of each others best qualities. After he left office he only continued to advocate for important issues and lead the way in building a better world. Arnold will always be an role model for me, the model of what a man should be. Strong, intelligent, and filled with love.
This guy should stay in making move not political matters…
@Robert Shull Maybe ALL people will do the same. Our country needs 💗love and compassion and and those courageous enough to both know it, and act on it. It also needs a better reward structure, where it makes a difference.
🤡👍
I was never into body building and wasn’t a big fan of his movies(the action movies just aren’t my thing had absolutely nothing to do with his acting) but I read his autobiography when it came out and I loved it! A positive inspiration for lots of folks and just a great life story!
If you want to delve into the real Arnold watch Kindergarten Cop.True strength is used to protect not to bully!
I’m so glad someone like him, speaks in support of civil life and civility to our fellow people.
… The guy who vetoed gay marriage.
@D Dd Like most Repubs and their dear leaders.
@D Dd He clearly doesn’t stand by that now, so that’s admirable that he’s taken that stance back.
He understands how deep hate can go. Understanding that you need to reach out, talk to all sides and understand truly why people are upset is the key to real change.
@Jim Doe All I meant was that changing from consuming meat and dairy, to a plant based diet, was an admirably ethical choice.
Let’s hope he can get in front of the GQP and speak some sense into them
As a boy I idolized this giant of a man and wanted to be like him. I’m 41 yrs old. He is still my hero.
@Darius Rucker That was a great line! You are a true fan such as I!
A true republican.
@Nate H well with mind set, I’m sure we can give Trump a pass…lord knows we gave Biden several.
@D Dd Better than having children with his butler?!
A person from a premier consulting firm who was tasked with briefing Arnold S about economic issues when he was Governor, told me that he was a brilliant student of economics and issues. He read the materials and was always extremely well prepared and asked the key questions. She briefed a lot of high ranking government leaders all over the world and thought he was one of the brightest she had dealt with in her career. At the time, I had thought of him as a body builder and hack actor. Obviously, I underestimated him. He we a decent Governor of our state.
For most of US and the World it’s about having a home, a job, an education, food, clean air and clean water, someone you love, and children to carry on after you’re gone with at least, the same opportunities you had. It really is as simple as that.
without preduuice
@WarfarenotWarfair The poor should and do care because they are and will continue to be the most affected by the environment. Do you not realize how many water issues are going on in the US?
@F Sanab Yeap because the skilled workers are all going for the easy money because the people that maintain things get screwed. Working for a salary makes you poorer over time.
Thank you Arnold Schwarzenegger for this video!
This man is a legend think about where he came from to what he is now
Sitting here just dumbstruck that the best words of wisdom right now are coming from a man I remember as Conan the Barbarian. Thank you, Arnold. You continue to inspire us.
That’s right, the real Jack Sparrow, he is fake…he wasn’t actually Conan the barbarian, he was just pretending, because he was an actor
@Dale Redpath Try not to get his boot-laces caught in your teeth.
I am gaining a better appreciation for Arnold’s wisdom in addition to his strength.
Thx Arnold for being a positive voice. Its hard to love and easier to hate. Lets choose the harder path. Change starts with ourselves do a good deed today 🎉❤
The man is a real Hero. Nothing but respect for Arnold.
Thank you Mr. Schwarzenneger for being so candid, and revealing your family history. Your sincerity and seriousness of purpose is heard.

do you think he is reading your comment?.
I’m so happy someone like him, speaks in support of civil life and civility to our fellow people.
Arnold is textbook definition of living the American Dreams. I also love it when he uses’ a body as a shield in his awesome, over-the-top films from the 80/90’s. “He caught a train…..”
The thing about this interview that makes it so compelling and wise is that he speaks of his countries history and his families ugly past truthfully and makes connections to present day. There are way too many people in the USA that don’t know their own history, try to rewrite it or just straight up ban it.
There is absolutely nothing that compares with seeing people learn from god-awful history. Keep it going, Arnold!
this is so refreshing to hear, at a time when Arnold isn’t doing it for any campaign, nor needing anymore publicity nor promotion, but out of his heart. and to speak with such refreshing honesty!! so many people I feel have such dark secrets and we aren’t dumb, we know they have them.. and yet Arnold was honest and open with us telling us his history and how it frightens him.
