@HalfCrazy520 I didn’t see it until now, but you are right, there is a difference between lawful and legal. Murdering civilians would not be considered a lawful order, even if somehow it was legal. You cant simply follow an order to kill civilians and claim you were following orders.
When, on the other hand, a president decides that he wants to support another country that is fighting what is obstincably an enemy of the US, then it is in his right to do so and a general can not claim that that is unlawful because it is lawful. Just because a former president said he would not give military aid to that country is not a reason to call it unlawful.
Vindman threw his career away when he decided to follow the orders of obama over trump. He had no legal right to do so.
