They literally advertised for immigration from those countries, and it had EVERYTHING to do with race. This ‘whitefication’ immigration policies from Europe were, not only in the US but also other colonies in South America, like Chile, Argentina and Brazil, with devastating consequences to the natives in those countries. You think the US didn’t take Russian immigrants enmass, they came in waves from 1860s to 1930s, literally in the millions. Oh well, i suppose ignorance costs your political views nothing!
Seems to me that the us would be better off helping these countries become economically and politically stable. Much cheaper and if people have a decent life where they’re at less migration to America.
