The concept of declassifying documents on a whim at the very least jeopordizes the lives of everyone in the chain of intelligence gathering. Wreckless endangerment and intimidating to any potential sources moving forward. Example: i,m not saying s#*t to anyone if there is even a remote chance I’d be exposed to arrest and execution. Proper protocol exists to evacuate or at least warn an intelligence source.
I tried telling my professor “I’m been attending your class, I should automatically get an A. There’s no need to physically do my homework, I can do by just thinking about it.” I failed the class….

Declassification of a document is not, nor simply cannot be, automatic. It is a complicated process that requires a participation and work from a number of facilities and people. I had clearances for 11 years when I worked for the DoD, over 7 of those years were TS/SCI clearances. Given what I have seen, those documents were not declassified. There isn’t a single declassification marking on any of those in the FBI picture, which is a requirement.
Unless your Biden,Bush,Clinton, Obama, and every president before Trump.. Makes perfect sense to me. 😮
@Franklin 3, I don’t defend their mishandling, the video was simply about Trump. I’ve said Clinton got away with something I would have been prosecuted for severely and that is complete BS. The fact Pence and Biden had documents outside secure storage sickens me greatly and the fact that I haven’t heard a thing about any assessment of the damage those mishandlings caused is just one more strike against those of us who have to go through the standard clearance process. What really bothers me is that three people at the highest levels of the executive branch are definitely shown to have mishandled those documents and remove them for significant periods outside secure storage. Whoever is in charge of that SCIF in the White House needs to face some penalties too and significant changes enacted to stop this garbage. National security is suffering.
