I agree 100%
What is wrong with these ppl. Leave that type of behavior off the track .
Agree 100%. The KC yute should have been disqualified from champs.
@Track Boss The Calabar student was disqualified, but the KC student was not.
Still woulda win
They had to reinstate him because they allowed the cbar yute to partake further in the competition. You have to ban both not one.
@Damali Lewis You cannot ban both, because the calabar student did not assault the KC student. He did obstruct the KC student in the race, which means he should have been disqualified, not banned from the entire championships because it wasn’t intentional. However, the KC student should be the one the be banned. Because he assaulted someone.
@Jay R he did it on purpose and cost the kc yute a medal spot of course he should be ban
The indiscipline in Jamaica has now trickled down to the track. This is serious, and Grace Kennedy need to make an example of it, if not this behavior will continue.
Well said!!!
Facts
Out of all of this incident seeing that Kingston College supporter hugging the 2 Calabar students and walking away with them both stood out for me
It’s one of the coaches, but yes, I agree
@Slytastic it’s actually a race official both yall wrong lol
@Nick Allen lol nah that the jumps coach of KC
If there is a problem with the finger pointing they afto put it in the class before champions ,but the fighting is dangerous
Unu fix the top first(government )and the bottom will reflect what unu want to see. If Government corrupt especially in house of parliament it nuh mus reflect in other institutions
So if top government is fixed then automatically everything will fall into place like this problem hasn’t been around for decades while both parties have been in office… Explain that to me.
@Desroy White I know what I know and you know what you know so nothing to explain. The struggle is real Jesus soon come and all this done
Rigid sanctions, points deductions, bans, thats the stance that must be taken. At the end this is a brand an avenue to expose our talents globally it must be protected at all costs. Pun intended.
The finger at the end is not any thing bad it’s more to say I’m faster and I got this one in other words but the KC one is disrespectful
its wrong yes but bro its not that deep
He’s a C.e.o so he’s gonna protect his brand , which is a billion dollar brand worldwide. It’s not the first this has happened so he’s gonna stipulate hard repercussion if these things are not rectified.
These big schools often get away with nonsense. Why was he reinstated after twice putting his hand in the boy, who was disqualified in the end? ISSA needs to set a better example for children watching.
It’s not that serious tbh😂
Two isolated incidents shouldn’t cause grace Kennedy to pull their sponsorship. Champs is bigger than that
Well there is a brand to protect and I agree with Don Wehby!!!
True. However, they need to protect their brand. If ISSA had acted immediately and not allow that KC runner to continue participating in Champs and gave the other runner in the second incident some punishment, then Grace would not see the need to consider pulling out. Something has to be done.
This just goes to show how much influence KC has in ISSA. Even when the KC student clearly assaulted another student, twice. They still reinstated him. Grace should pull out of champs.
I agree Mr. Webby, we have to start from somewhere. Lots of people will say it’s not deep however we can’t allow this to happen. A lot of things we think not deep look how Jamaica is now, the teachers are scared of a lot of students in schools now. Look how many teachers are injured and beaten by school students. Yes Mr. Webby stand for something, it’s about time.
Issa just need to put in place workshops to teach the youths good sportsmanship And teach them how to handle wins and loss… invest in sports psychology also or maybe you grace Kennedy should do it since you so concern. Bring a solution to the problem, ending sponsorship is not a solution to it
Don needs to speak this strong about the Violence in the wider Jamaica.
But you ain’t got no problem if those same people buy your products though.
Stop the smoke and mirrors thing because the moment grace steps away digicel and flow along with so many other companies are coming with their checkbooks
I agree, even if it takes stringent measures, thats how people learn
