  1. That title is wrong its, “Government to charge more taxes in order for you(Citizens) to pay their Electricity Bills.” And only for 4 months.

  2. So for nearly 3yrs under lock down and no work only giving back the people 10g of their tax dollar…a wonder why now unuh doing all this. 😏

  3. The government can’t solve every economical problem facing the country gas and electricity cost are going up worldwide atleast they are trying to help

  4. These ppl think they smart check the population household and see how much used less than 200 kWh a monthπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ€”

    1. @Wayne Fearon Approximately 457,786 customers of the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) with monthly electricity consumption of up to 200 kilowatt-hours (kWh) will benefit from a 20 per cent contribution to their bills by the Government

    2. @Wayne Fearon 81 per cent of households will benefit from this temporary Government initiative, which is aimed at cushioning the impact of rising energy prices and is expected to cost in the region of $2 billion…..SO I STAND CORRECTED..81%

  5. So jps want help out path and the extra poor, when most was never paying at all, you know it us who pay some bug bill already dem a tek it from to give dem.

  6. Jps bills were always going up! Now they finally get a reason to raise it even higher because of the war

  7. So civil servants, and the Minister is head of a ministry, do not need help too? Throughout the pandemic this government has been helping everyone except civil servants who have been working assiduously and received 4%, actual receipt is 2.5% after tax. Civil servants have been facing all the increases which have wiped out this 2.5% already.
