Coronavirus deaths from March 1 to January 22 are about 46,000. Yes, there were something like 15 confirmed cases in January but people were t dying then like they are now. The death rate started to really launch in March-April.

There is plenty of outdoor room so social distancing is easy, it keeps at least this kind of business from going under, it keeps a certain percentage of citizens working and not on unemployment, homeowners can at least work in their yards and do what they normally do preparing the outside of their homes for upcoming months, etc. You must live in an apartment. 🙄🙄🙄

Flu Season in the United States generally starts in November and peaks in February.
I do believe COVID-19 will be a slightly more deadly flu varient compared to normal years, but just for reference: The 2017–2018 flu season resulted in an estimated 959,000 hospitalizations and 61,099 deaths in the US alone, with 4000 deaths per week at it’s height.
Shelter in place will NOT eliminate Covid-19, it’s sole purpose is to help our system catch up so when we do open back up, they’re prepared. May 4th will make it 7 weeks for my state… Time to open back up after that.
