  1. He may have lied his way into the Republican Party, but I bet he won’t lie his way out of prison!

“Prisons do not disappear social problems, they disappear human beings. Homelessness, unemployment, drug addiction, mental illness, and illiteracy are only a few of the problems that disappear from public view when the human beings contending with them are relegated to cages.”

    2. @Colonizing Puerto Rico Is Undemocratic Google Finlands prison system, they have one of the best in the world.

  2. These past few weeks have been a win for the Justice System and the American people.
It’s wonderful seeing accountability in action.
If they can arrest a sitting congressman they can arrest a former President.
    Make it happen.

    1. Starting with the current oval office occupant would be a step toward restoring faith in the DoJ.

  3. The GOP can call on Santos to resign, but he won’t. Nor will the Republican majority in the House vote to expel or impeach Santos.

    1. Fine, then he will go to prison, and the people of his district won’t get representation

  4. The GOP is crazy. They call for Santos to resign but they can’t call out Trump. They are both crooked and should be treated the same

    1. There’s a massive difference. They know Santos would be voted out in the next election anyway. Chump is their big hope to retake the White House, hence why they won’t be calling for Chump to resign.

  5. Hopefully they’ll hold their high standard of ethics from now on I can think of about 10 other Republicans that need to go to jail and resign

    1. I hope I hope I hope he’ll get there and stay there, he’s earned prison time by his criminal activity and by his mindset. Put him in Rikers with diaper don. Cell mates!!

    1. Not really, he didn’t even try to hide these crimes—either arrogance or ignorance—or both are at play here

  6. Santos/Trump both represent the state of the Republican Party. It’s not the party of Lincoln. It’s the party of Nixon.

  7. 147 Republican lawmakers voted to overturn the results of a free and fair election. Santos is not even close to that level of criminality.

    1. True, but only as a matter of competence to that level of criminality. Given a chance to develop his skills? I have every reason to believe Santos could be the best of them.

  8. Trump in 2016-“I don’t pay any taxes because I’m smart.”
NY jury in 2022-“We hereby find Trump Org. guilty on all 17 counts of tax fraud.”
    😂😂😂😂😂

    1. Trump will be your next president😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉 you better respect him😂😂

  9. Santos: I loaned my campaign $700K!
    Gov’t: Where’d you get it?
Santos: I borrowed $700K from my campaign! Duh!

    1. Nope. Unless Congress ousts him, or he volunteers to resign, he will continue to collect his pay until January 2025 when his replacement takes office.

  10. “If the charges have veracity, and they’re true…” such eloquence in the gop these days.
