  2. Straight out the box the Republican misrepresents the DeSantis case. The people DeSantis trafficked weren’t ‘illegal’, they had legally made an asylum claim and where awaiting there case to be heard. Until America withdraws from the international treaty covering the asylum process the Repuiblicans should stop misrepresenting the situation. It should be noted that these weren’t even in Florida, DeSantis had to import them from Texas which has resulted with him facing possible criminal charges in Texas.

    2. @Preston Pumpernickel No, that was the REPUBLICAN Governor of MA, Charlie Baker that called up the NG, declared a state of emergency and made the decision to relocate the documented immigrants to Joint Base Cape Cod.

      At least get your facts straight. It was the Governor from YOUR party that removed them from Martha’s Vineyard to housing on Cape Cod, NOT the “Democrats” or residents of MV. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

    5. This. Also if you google her there are strong arguments that she faked her own house attack and even sexual abuse. If true…both are ..sick. But ive seen this lady lie lie lie and flip flop from TRUMP MAGA to never trumper so anything is possible. Also if you look at the timing of her claims they came in just after a well know dem claimed she had been raped. Its almost if she manufactured it to be able to then support pro life and tell rape victims ‘why they are wrong because she is now an authority’. Sick if true.

They need to go back and study the Associative property, Distributive property, Transitive property, Additive identity property and Linear inequalities. I keep hearing things like, “Very similar”, such a thing can never be said if you actually apply reasoning, logic, mathematics, and most importantly the laws of geometric proof.

A huge difference on what the Federal Govt did, and which LEGALLY they can move people across states line, e.g. 70 unaccompanied children who were separated from their parents in these deplorable camps. These kids were sent to Jacksonville, FL and New York to either family members or vetted supporters, not lied too, with proper papers, and not dumped in the streets.

    2. @Pablo You can sign consent forms all day, but if the context of that contract is a lie, it makes that fraud and makes it non-legally binding.

      I don’t know if the Federal Govt contacted mayors and governors, I don’t really see the need since these kids had a secure place to go, unlike what happened here with Abbott/DeSantis just dumping off of people. The Republican Governor of Massachusetts wasn’t informed. Stop with the misinformation.

    3. @Pablo there is a big difference with signing a consent form when you know what you’re signing , when what your signing is the actual truth , when you havent been lied to etc and when you sign a consent form that you dont understand , that isnt the truth , after you have been lied to etc . There is also a big difference in sending people to their family members or agencies willing/able to support them and sending people who have been lied to somewhere random where they dont have any family , where there is no agencies or support for them and just dropping them off on the road and making them walk 3 miles to the community center when they dont even know where they are going FFS . smfh

    4. @shari No. there is no difference. Consent forms were in Spanish. Martha’s Vineyard is a sanctuary city. So they should’ve been ready to receive migrants. And they did the same thing Florida did. They called the national guard and sent the migrants to a military base. Typical hypocrisy. Biden has been flying migrants all over the country to cities with no support infrastructure either.

Setting aside John Berman’s unnecessarily pandering and softly-softly “interview”… it’s so disheartening that neither was compelled to speak of the fear and desperation these traumatized people felt… not to mention the disappointment, despair and helplessness of being ABANDONED, and at risk of missing mandatory appointments with US federal services in several different states… perhaps someone could mention that, at the very least, the descent thing to do would have been to give all concerned some advanced notice, even a heads up would have been nice.

  18. I haven’t heard this in a long time: I agree with the solution to provide opportunities for work to immigrants in the USA and in their countries of origin. Unfortunately the USA is (and has been) involved in endless wars that take away resources towards supporting these solutions she proposes.

    I don’t see any border security, (or a big beautiful walls) stopping mankind from illegally entering USA the source of illegal immigration is lack of good paying jobs in countries of origin.

    I respect advice from rape victims too a big contrast to laws made by men who have never gone through it either.
