with all due respect Dr Paul Scott you should be pressuring the government to clean up Jamaica … pollution don’t only affect the poor it is the same air close or far….. if a disease should form from the garbage it will spread to all
If you can’t deal with it just simply move to the countryside or migrate overseas.
contracted the garbage services, gave contracts to private contractors that what they do in T&T which works well
In Guyana we contracted the Refuge collection across the country it works very efficiently. Monthly payments by residents for the bins and service provided.
Burning Garbage next to the utility poles is very dangerous.
Also separation of the types and composting organic materials would help along with Recycling the other waste.

We can’t even get the basics of a functioning society right but we endlessly clamour for more separation between ourselves and Britain. A society that at least get all the basic right
