  1. Most of them were thinking it. They either wanted his base or wanted to get rid of him. They were just afraid of Trumps backlash with the latter, weaponizing his violent supporters

    1. @channeleightyeight088 yep. Why did Miss Lindsay Graham say? Something like: if we elect Don he will ruin the party, and we will deserve it.

      Wnat a coward he is.

    1. The RED HATS moved into the past yesterday. We need to step around the bloated corpse of Trumpism and move ahead.

    2. @Johnathan Davis Dems have 2 years to prove themselves or the Red Hats will come right back and say “see, I told you so, you should elect us again”. Already razor thin margins in the House and the Senate. The Dems must show people that Trumpism is repeatedly defeated at all polls of every level whenever it shows up for it to truly go away. The Dems must make Americans feel that something positive is being done for them, that helps them during these troubled times. We must be wary of Trumpism and Red Hats because they are not gone yet. Some work ahead…

  2. The Republican Party as a whole does not have a clean slate like Rep. Mace stated. Especially considering that some members of her party, who helped instigate the riot, are still in office.

    1. @Evan Kellison I’m not seeing this news. Only that he turned himself into law enforcement on Monday for beating officers. Do you have a link?

    2. @Evan Kellison All it says is that he also started violence at BLM protests. Exactly the background I would expect. it has long been known that the majority of violence at BLM events was instigated by right-wing extremists who infiltrated the protests. The rest of the violence was started by the cops… as usual.

    3. @Evan Kellison Just another kid. No “ring leader” or anything like that. Not sure why you’re making stuff up while asking people to “look him up.”

    4. @Steam fish White rice Republicans are free to unify with Biden anytime they want. We’re not letting all the GOP crime slide though.

  3. Democratic Presidents, NOT ‘DEMOCRAT’ Presidents. Thats a GOP talking point from the days of Sen. McCarthy. Please correct it Rep. Mace.

    1. The bailout of the banks back in 2007 was socialism for the wealthy – the 1%. Its only acceptable when paying no taxes is written in the policies, then socialism is ok.

    2. @L P I lived in Winnipeg Canada for 3.5 yrs my ignorant friend. I have no qualms over socialism. I had healthcare and a SIN card when I had to have a job. I could go to Canada and have my cremation taken care of for free. If you need medication in the states and you could get it from Canada for 10% of the cost, I’m sure you will PROBABLY say No! I live in a capitalist country! I’m sure your ignorance will keep you alive. 🖕

    3. yep. It’s funny – one of the fox news hosts, who is very much a right wing hack, was arguing with another fox news host saying the comparison of the capitol hill insurrectionists was not a proper comparison to the BLM protests/non-BLM related riots that happened in the summer. He initially said “democratic officials”, but then quickly corrected himself to say democrat.

    4. The GOP under Trump have run up the biggest deficit in USA history in just 4 years and as soon as a Dem President takes charge they start talking about balancing budgets and not spending too much. The US public need to make the GOP instinct because they are such hypocrites, clearly only seek power and not help people and proved they are not the party of good governance with the last two presidents. You can’t run a country on talking points, fear and racism.

    1. Their words are speaking volumes: “put the last few weeks behind us” = shut up talking about January 6th and let us off the hook without any consequences.

    2. It’s hilarious to watch the party that just lost all three branches of government suddenly act like they’re going to be magnanimous and gracious and work along with us now that they’re not in complete control.

  4. It’s not just about having a job– it’s about jobs that pay enough to feed and house your family. The “old” economy had a boat load of low-level service jobs that didn’t pay people enough to support themselves adequately. That’s what allowed Trump’s BS populism to take hold.

    1. That’s exactly what people failed to realized! Yes there were lots of jobs but who wants a job that pays minimum wage and doesn’t offer good health benefits or a 401k plan. We want jobs but we also want jobs that are gonna help you support your family and not make you live pay check to pay check. These are things that they should focus on not just claiming how everyone who wants a job could get a job. You got people working multiple jobs because sometimes it’s not enough!!! Glad you get the point!

  5. She still voted against the impeachment, even after making a big ballyhoo on another network about how ashamed she was about Trump’s actions. I’m not paying attention to her again.

    1. Republican leadership got some nerve, so ya’ll loss the election and now want to have unity?
      Election have consequences!

    2. Her entire campaign revolved around Trump (if not kneeling in front of him). She’s a lying shill just like the rest.

    3. I thought she was someone I could FINALLY respect until she said ‘violence on both sides’ and then she admitted part of the reason they weren’t voting for impeachment was that they feared Trumpsters attacking their family. Then you shouldn’t be in Congress if you won’t uphold your oath. The Republican party is dead.

    4. She’s like the young, new version of Susan Collins. Feign outrage when the cameras are on and do the exact opposite in the House roll calls!

  6. It doesn’t matter if we “sent checks to dead people.” They CAN’T cash them! Stop with the fake problems.

    1. She meant new sheep’s clothing. She’s a hater, a White Supremacist. Executive actions are great – She means executive actions only if they’re Republican, but we need to change things if Democrats do the same thing

    1. To be fair, for four years it was impossible for me to say “President Trump” without the feeling that I was lying.

Although I must also admit that these are two quite different situations. Biden’s presidency simply is absolutely legitimate. No matter what he might do or not do.

    2. Again a petty talking point. Argue something with substance instead of arguing that she said “Joe Biden was inaugurated” instead of “President Joe Biden was inaugurated”. All this petty stuff does not help the new Administration. Yesterday was a clean slate from 4 years of nightmares, give these people a chance to show who they are before we start trashing them. PLEASE!!!! Feel free to trash Cruz all you want, he’s already Proven himself. And if you need a councilman, well you have Hawley for that. Feel free to trash him too. Do not trash the ones who appear to be opened to working “with” Biden just because she didn’t say President. It’s the first day FFS!!!

  7. it’s unbelievable that the amount of money outweighs helping people stay alive…this country is capable of being resourceful and overcoming all obstacles that is placed in front of it. WORK TOGETHER AND THINGS WILL HAPPEN FOR THE GOOD.

    1. Boom! She talks a good game and presents well but she is definitely talking out of both sides of her mouth.

    2. No member of Trump’s GOP is going to call for the seditious Reps and Senators to be expelled as they should be.
Every Rep and Senator who voted to not accept any State’s Electoral College elector count is an abettor to Trump’s crime of inciting an attack on the US Capitol. All of the inflammatory speakers at Trump’s rally on January 6th are as guilty as Trump of incitement of sedition against the United States.

    3. Nor does she appear to breathe — when someone talks nonstop like that, not pausing to take a breath, that’s not usually a particularly good sign of their belief in what they’re saying.

  8. She is trying to be the right wing AOC. She would have had some credibility if she voted to impeach Trump instead of using “process” as an excuse.

    1. @mike briganti – Right wing politicians are usually rich, so bartender is highly unlikely, but I do not know the answer.

    2. AOC is my social media created congresswoman who is the so-called representative of my Bronx district, and my family voted for her twice, even though we know that she is lazy and not a hard working representative for the district as the media thinks. She lives in DC, and acts like a dryland tourist rather than a serious district representative. She has never held any meetings with her constituent or have create local offices for us to call for help. Her reelection campaign staffer said she will try to do better next time. 🤔 🙄

    3. @Boothe Keith – Ok. She is a Democratic superstar. The Republicans will try and tear her down as much as possible.

    1. Another rich Senator/Congress Woman sitting at the round-table deciding the fate of the middle income/blue-collar worker……Frickin pathetic!!!

  9. There is nothing a single Republican can utter at this point that I will believe, with the possible exception of Romney.

  10. The moment she said “it’s expensive” I shut her off. No Republican ever gets to say those words again.
