One of these days Tony will come clean and explain the real reason behind his all consuming hatred of Lennox Linton – a man he curses to high heavens for not having a job and then turns around and curses him even more to the higher heavens for working for people who, in Tony’s assessment, he should not be working for. In Antigua and St Kitts, Tony and myself work in different capacities for the same clients. He does legal work. I advise on communication strategy and produce programmes and/or advocacy campaigns (free and paid) across all media in that regard. My guiding principle, as clearly communicated to all of those who elect themselves to be my clients is “TRUTH WELL TOLD”. The political parties in Antigua and St Kitts to which Tony refers are no exception. Indeed, no client has ever asked, nor can any client expect me, to lie, cheat and steal or to defend corruption and/or make a mockery of good governance on his/her behalf. That, quite simply is not on, regardless of how many millions the client may be willing to pay.
The question for Tony is why has he failed in his numerous attempts to prevent those very clients (in whom he is well pleased and over whom he claims considerable influence) from requesting my services as and when the need arises?
Tony is obviously offended by the fact that I live under my own roof and I am consistently able to eat a little dry bread and water without genuflecting for crumbs from his fortune or hand outs at the Red Clinic. More than that, my independence of mind enrages him into self confessed insanity which he blames on something he “must have drank or eaten”. In any event, he says “I think I am going mad”.
Going mad indeed… all because on the issue of the good, just and honest governance of Dominica, a poor little black boy from Marigot called Lennox Linton will not fold and disappear on the instructions of this high and mighty representative of the privileged few.
And that’s all it is.
Nothing more… nothing less.
