bc politically aware after reagan in ’80.. the cult of personality got me involved in the mondale/ferrao ticket.. never looked back since.. RIP VP Mondale
welp not much i could do, not being alive in their era
take it you fell hook line & sinker for trump’s cult of personality disorder
@Tony Huff Your comment doesn’t make sense. Maybe you have your parties mixed up.
@B Bodziak trump fluffer deleted his comments
When you’re on your deathbed, when you literally have nothing else to lose, nothing more to gain, and nothing left to do, when your mind fails along with your health, it strips away a lot of the fake stuff you put up, the insecurities and facades, and what you’re left with is the core essence of a person, who they really are.
The fact that Mondale called VP Harris before the end says a lot about his character.
Rest in Peace Mr. Vice President, and Rest in Power.
My late father passed away in 2012 aged 100 years old. You reminded me prior to his passing that whatever ‘fancy’ we thought we were buying for him, he used to say him and ‘beauty/fancy stuff’ have long ago separated.
He was relatively healthy in his age, so what he meant was he didn’t care about these material stuff. He never cared to begin with.
Don will be calling his media to remind them how great he was.
Good eulogy. Thank you for sharing with us, the perennial peanut gallery. 🙂
We told the Truth, followed the Law , Kept the Peace … a Great human being , a true American !
Compare that with the former guy who never told the truth, never followed the law and failed in keeping the peace since The Capitol was overrun on his watch.
not sure if anyone cares but in less than 15 minutes I hacked my friends Instagram account by using InstaPortal. You can find it by Googling for InstaPortal password hack 😉
@Lyric Augustus i will try it out right now. Looks good so far.
@TheChiefEng
More to the point: at his instigation!
Condolences to the family. I remember when he ran with Geraldine Ferraro. RIP Mr. Mondale. Thank you for your service to this country.
Margie, You a a Wonderful Memory.
He never let the fact that he lost 49 states bother him.
Some of us lost family to Covid last year.
@sclogse1 Most of us have lost someone to covid and I offer my deepest sympathy. Unfortunately, I don’t understand your connection between Mondale and Covid.
Crazy how both Carter and Mondale were truly decent people who for once managed to get the top office in this country.
After them, everyone else was dysfunctional. Lolove
Jimmy Carter the greatest ex-President in my lifetime.
“We told the truth. We obeyed the law. We kept the peace.”
One cannot always adhere to the third statement, but the first two should be paramount for every public servant.
RIP our American hero.
An age when decent people did decent things, an age when truth mattered, an age when taking an oath meant something. Rest in peace good man.
ΖΗΤΩ!
@Sonny Jim
What does that mean?
@Mary Rose Kent It’s a Greek expression of approval of what someone said. In other situations, it can also mean LONG LIVE!
Voted for him and Geraldine in my first election, I was 19 in 1984.
RIP
Mondale would have been much better then Reagan.
@Constituent A Aren’t you setting the bar rather low? Alfred E. Neumann would have been a better president that Ronnie.
21 and I had too, my God . It was Ronald W. Reagan. Egads.
Those were the daze.
Are we soulmates. Lolove
Me too!
I voted for him. Wow , so long ago.
I know, we’re getting better. My first General Federal Election in the USA.
I don’t think I did, but I don’t remember who I did vote for! It seemed like there were lots of folks with brains and good talking points back then to choose from. Wow.
RIP VP Mondale🙏🏻
Wonder what would have happened had he won against Reagan.
Vice President Mondale was the reason I voted for the first time, with his radical and forward looking ticket! After that initiation, I continued to vote no matter where I lived on this globe. This was a historical election, and my vote made me a part of history. Thank you Vice President, you deserve your eternal peace.
I voted for Mondale / Ferraro.
Inspiring generations 🌈💗
R.I.P Vice President Walter Mondale
You be missed
Very nice tribute to my favorite political leader. Mondale spent his career fighting for workers, seniors, children, consumers, Civil Rights, and honest government. Humble and modest, he had unquestioned personal, financial, and political integrity, was liked and respected even by his opponents. I have his two biographies, by Finlay Lewis and Stephen Gillon, and his memoirs “The Good Fight: A Life in Liberal Politics”. His achievements include the Gideon case, the right to an appointed attorney, and passing the Civil Rights Act of 1968, when even the leadership had given up. Thank you Senator Klobuchar, who was my first choice for VP in 2020. Walter Mondale should have been president.
Voted and volunteered for him in my first presidential election. I was heartbroken when he lost. Like the president he served, a model of compassion, integrity, decency and progressive values. He will be missed.
This saddens me greatly. I remember shaking his hand and talking with him in the 1984 campaign. Proud of him and he will be missed.
