ST GEORGE’S, Grenada — Grenadian lawyer and former senator Arley Gill is expected to leave the country shortly to work in Dominica.
A report on a Dominica internet news site said Gill will take up a magistrate’s position in Dominica from June 1.
Gill, a former public relations officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was among ten people expelled from the party at its annual convention last September.
Since then, according to sources, he has considered himself “retired from politics,” devoting most of his time to his law practice, contributing regular commentaries to Caribupdate Weekly, and completing research on various matters such as maritime law and ocean governance which are his speciality.
According to reports, Gill was one of several candidates who applied for the magistrate’s job before being shortlisted, interviewed and then selected.
