We were lucky for three years that nothing serious came along until the disaster. Dr Gottlieb is talking about 2020 as being the worst of this pandemic. I agree but the next 10 weeks are going to be brutal as the rate of infection explodes and the deaths will grow significantly. April and May were rough too in 2020. @Mission Blonde yup, anytime you have family into your home, make sure everyone is masked for the entire dinner & visit! 80% of infections come from within households, so this is where it is ESSENTIAL that masks are worn. DO NOT remove the mask to eat or drink or for any other purpose while family are there! Once family have left, open all windows & doors & use fans to remove the virus from the air for at least 1 hour before removing the mask!

Something else that is criminal; the House passed a relief bill in May, but McConnell won’t even let it be marked up in the Senate. Instead of working of passing a relief bill, he sent the Senate home, and only brought them back to cram another insane, far right justice on the Supreme Court. This, when states have been forced to spend money to deal with Covid by themselves, and are facing a budget shortfall. While the federal government can just print money, states must balance their budgets. State employees will have to be fired, adding to the unemployment crisis, just when we need them most.

The only update and/or conversation should be about protecting the most vulnerable, susceptible people who should take necessary precautions and allowing the virus to run its natural course.
