@Barbara V Oh dear me, next you’ll be arguing Bush the second was a genius , obviously the American political system does not require intelligence or knowledge from its presidents, Trump had some talents most notably cheap showmanship that appealed to a reality show brainwashed population and inherited affluence which for some reason American culture tends to equate with competence ( despite repeated proofs to the contrary) . Trump is a very obvious ignoramus in most fields of knowledge and has made it abundantly clear on countless occasions and very directly from the horse’s mouth .
I would just pick a few instances of his dumb ignorant ramblings to your compromised attention . First his idiotic comment on the good old days heavier and sturdier cars that didn’t fold in collisions, I’ll spell the facts out for you since you might be sufficiently of an ignoramus yourself , the “folding” car design is a life saver since it allows for the kinetic energy to be absorbed by the car structure . But then you might not “believe” in kinetic energy like you probably do not believe in climate science .
Second, tariffs are not paid for by exporting countries but in last resort by importing countries consumers, they are a consumer taxes that might help preexistent industries by making them artificially competitive (still a cost for the consumer) but will hurt others because part or all of its component chain relies on non replaceable imports . As for tariff wars well they are adversarial as their name suggests and if the adversary is both solid and intelligent they will target the weak links in their opponents economical chain, the unequally subsidized farmers have some knowledge of the fact . Wouldn’t it be hilarious if the Chinese companies actually took advantage of the situation and be buying US farmland at a bargain price ?
Third and I’ll stop here for there is no point in trying to be exhaustive since it would take years to enumerate all the instances of Trump exhibiting his monumental ignorance , Trump and the invisible stealth bombers : “They’re invisible you know you can be right next to them and you can’t see them ” (That’s a memory quote please excuse minor inaccuracies) Once again I ‘ll spell out reality in the matter since you might share Trump’s Marvel comics delusions, stealth bombers are designed to be invisible to radar devices they are just as visible “optically” as any other jet . And in case you think this is unimportant , just imagine this deluded fool is supposed to strike great bargains with Boeing and co (BTW this didn’t end very well for your hard earned tax dollars ).
