Here in California not all LAUSD teachers are vaccinated in fact they are not enforcing vaccines for teachers, for older children they are required to take the vaccines before they are allow or welcome in class

On December 11, 2020, the FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. On December 18, 2020, the FDA issued an EUA for the use of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine. And on February 27, 2021 the FDA issued an EUA for the use of the Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine. The issuance of an EUA is different than an FDA approval (licensure) of a vaccine.

The emergency authorization wasn’t even in accordance with the directives implemented for emergency use authorizations. There’s a lot of criteria it would have to meet that it simply didn’t and couldn’t despite it being authorized anyways.

@World Shaking You’re probably right, I do wonder sometimes, though. For example, recently, a Southwest pilot was caught ranting against the Bay Area and anyone who doesn’t drive a car that “burns coal”, during a critical phase of flight(regardless of whether you agree or not, it’s a violation of sterile cockpit rules). As expected, YouTube comments were overwhelmingly in his favor. But even on a video about another pilot rant incident 15 years ago, having nothing to do with politics (it was a rant about crew bases and appearance of flight attendants), the comment section was all of a sudden flooded with MAGA accounts saying how they agree with the rant, and the usual misspelled trolling on how bad liberals are, despite that video having nothing to do with politics. I suspect the bots picked up keywords (“pilot” “rant”), either that or the army of MAGA commentators didn’t watch the video at all (wouldn’t surprise me).

Pfizer vaccine needs end-to-end refrigeration at -32F from source to final destination. So poor countries without such infrastructure might not be able to use it even if given free.
The other 2 shot vaccine only requires modest refridgeration.
