'Folks Can't Take A Chance': MI Voters Discouraged From Mailing Ballots Last-Minute | Rachel Maddow
First mail in ballot in my voting history. And I still hand delivered it to the ballot box at City Hall. In Arizona. Biden/Harris. Won’t matter here though. Doucey revamped the Dept of Transportation here 5 months before the election. And that’s where 80% of Arizonans register to vote. The DOT here is in total dissaray. Took 5 months to get stickers for lic plates. Arizona will go repub all the way. It’s been assured. And rigged to the hilt.
@TheBase1aransas Pandemic? Listen, we are seeing voter suppression in potential swing states: Folks who have to wait hours in line, handicapped drop-offs were banned, postal service delayed…oh wait, you are a troll.

@Cookie Cutter Yes! If the American Experiment survives, and I wouldn’t bet the farm on it, the U.S. is due for some serious reckoning, starting with what used to be known as the Republican Party. Social conservatives who have voted for politicians on single issues better realize their voices can be just as easily ignored next time around. Education, strengthening our system of checks and balances, getting dark money out of politics (hah!) and an expanded SCOTUS will be as important as a secure and fair electoral process. Establishing the District of Columbia as a state, a requirement. Other democracies, make sure your young people read about this in their world civics classes, do it while you still can.

I have relatives still waiting on absentee ballots requested. Supposedly mailed early October. Called our County board of elections several times… its the post office

In some states (such as mine) you MUST mail your absentee ballot. You cannot hand deliver to the election commission and there are no drop boxes. Rules vary by state.

Don’t forget to check to make sure they accepted your ballot. I think in your state you can do it at http://www.michigan.gov/vote.
Your state website seems to require a little more than what my state (Kansas) did. I just had to provide name and birth date and it told me if they had received it and whether it was “accepted”. Here I think they compare your signature on the envelope to what they have on file before they accept it. The Michigan site doesn’t require a ton more though.
I went right to the clerk’s office and filled out my ballot right there and then handed it in. You can see what’s on the ballot before even going to the clerk’s office to vote. Go to the link below.

This should have been the plan all along, I don’t know why people were even thinking about putting it in the mail box. Either drop box or vote in person

A lot of people in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia sat it out last time or voted third party. I think they won’t make that mistake again.
