I love Mr. (Dr.) Massimino’s excitement and enthusiasm when talking about space. I would so love to see our beautiful blue planet from space with my own eyes. I’m grateful for the risks taken and work done by him and all the other astronauts to help us move into what will hopefully be a happier, more humble, compassionate and highly exciting future!

Nobody ever wondered why the view of earth from the surface of the moon was SO SMALL???
Due to the size of the earth…and the closeness of the moon…the earth should have FILLED THE ENTIRE FRAME OF THE PICTURE!!!!!
The earth’s diameter is just under 4 times that of the moon. Imagine looking at a full moon whose disc size is 4 times bigger than its actual size. That’s how big the earth looks like from the moon.. just like in the picture at the beginning of this video.
