Florida Teacher On Reopening Schools: 'It's Life Or Death' | Katy Tur | MSNBC
Trump and his enablers are endangering teacher’s and children’s lives. And that’s a big NO NO.
👉 Undocumented immigrants pay billions of dollars in federal taxes each year. *The most recent IRS data, from 2015, shows that undocumented immigrants paid $23.6 billion in income taxes.*
👇
*Those undocumented workers paid taxes for benefits they can’t even use, like Social Security and Medicare. They also aren’t eligible for benefits like the earned income tax credit. They are makers not takers.*
So who benefits from undocumented immigrants contributions🤔 Answer: *U.S born citizens and naturalized citizens.*
👇
*Especially poor white voters living in rural conservative communities, trump voters.*
👉Where did the taxpayers money/covid19 💰 for small businesses relief go🤔

☝️
*This is why DonaldTrump had the IG fired* 😒
⚠️💰 *Kanye West, the trump/Jared Kushner family (jared, his father, his brother in law etc), trump Lawyers, Nunes, mitch McConnell’s wife, Christopher Ruddy, a close Trump associate, received between $2 million and $5 million for Newsmax, a conservative TV network and website, TUCKER CARLSON & other very rich friends got the money intended for our small businesses.*
It’s documented.
IT WAS TAXPAYERS MONEY💰!
@Île-de- France 1000👍
time to shut all schools for ever. No more teachers. No more property tax.
@BIDEN promised amnesty to ALL illegals. Goodbye USA You don’t know dumb trump policies?Explain
Then it will be “death” if Trump gets his way.

Obviously not completely safe. The issue is then is if any compromise on safety for the economy reasonable.
spending the money and time to make school safe, getting the people OUTSIDE of school to be safe and follow the rules is the only way to fix the economy, regardless of the short term cost.
what’s happening outside of school makes schooling unsafe, the schools themselves would be a lot safer if less people outside of school were infected.
Hadwell watch this regarding real news https://youtu.be/IsII5-mooOg
They certainly do not have the best interests of the children, their families, and their teachers at heart. Republicans have an ulterior motive on this, and should be voted out.

The U.S. rate of infection is three times greater than the EU, but having Covid-19 in the EU is three times deadlier. Where would you rather live right now?
Children are largely asymptomatic (commonly confused with immunity). US child deaths under age 18= ~75. The mental, emotional, and cognitive repercussions of children not going to school is very real. How do we balance risks?
Robert Over 5,000,000 confirmed cases, over 160,000 dead………Go on America, keep doing what you are doing, it’s working so well.
Insanity is repeating the same mistakes over and over again and expecting a different result.
over 25,000 children have contracte Trump19 in Florida, in july
Brian you sure then explain why my 9 year old brother died from Covid
4D every Evangelical that voted for him will be sending their children to school faithfully following the conman pied piper
@Dani Vertiz My condolences
@Alex Hamilton you prefer our children die than be non republicans…. i feel sorry for you, an the kharma you curse your family with now…

And you think America is a example of how to manage a pandemic……really.
I am a school social worker in Florida. I can tell you we are NOT prepared.
George Hugh I hope you work in an environment, where 30 or more people are rotated through your workplace daily…….see how you like it in the mist of a pandemic. You are just another hypocritical arsehole.
@George Hugh honestly, youre pathetic.
@4D put an asterisk to those recovered. The Virus has a *Reinfection phase*
@4D *You’re apparently lazy about reading carefully.* What I proposed is that teachers WORK on the various levels of teaching exposure that would be APPROPRIATE for their situation. _It may be all remote, but later transition to socially distanced learning in person, or schemes for protection could be installed as we’ve seen in Japan with their full classes._
*Right now we have American teachers saying that sitting in the classrooms by themselves teaching remotely is too much risk (of what?). As for actually DOING WORK – that seems an anathema to all union leaders and many to most teachers we see in interviews.* They’ll adapt their curriculum, but that’s about it. To their credit, a select few teachers are actively involved in meeting with others to create strategies for successful teaching and lobbying/planning for implementation, but they seem few and far between.
Do some research and stop being such a curmudgeon to new ideas or POV’s that aren’t your own.
@Noreb Attitudes like yours are what’s wrong with much of teaching/teachers’ unions today.
Refuse to send your children. That’s it. Are you willing to sacrifice your families? You only have one chance to get this right. Floridians- save your state and your families.
@Robert : How about we balance the risk with your children?
@Annabelle B You read way too much into what I posted. I strongly urge you to put your emotions in the back seat and reread what I posted, and then reflect.
Robert I’m glad death rate is lower, but total infections in the USA is still unnecessarily high.

Floridians rebelling against Trump and DeSantis? Good for them.
@brian gardner Wrong.

ASTRAZENECA TO BE EXEMPT FROM CORONAVIRUS VACCINE LIABILITY CLAIMS IN MOST COUNTRIES
“This is a unique situation where we as a company simply cannot take the risk if in … four years the vaccine is showing side effects,” Ruud Dobber, a member of Astra’s senior executive team, told Reuters.:
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-astrazeneca-results-vaccine-liability-idUSKCN24V2EN
@brian gardner l think you have either been looking in the mirror or are beyond help. This is a human problem, not a political one.
@brian gardner didnt a 7 year old died . Its because of Republicans that we’re in this mess🙄
WHAT will they do when all the Experienced Teachers are DEAD??? This is just not a smart plan!
@RyGuy94 Not At All – way to project! *I want the passionate teachers (with skills), and would use this as an opportunity to get rid of those that have “advanced” in the woefully flawed system of Tenure-Over-Merit we have in place now thanks to the unions.* Too many times I have witnessed great teachers be passed over for promotions/opportunities or even released from schools due to THE RULES that keep old decrepit dinosaurs on the basis of seniority.
As to their political persuasion, I don’t really care. I’d guess there are more “progressives” teaching than “conservatives,” so I think the scales would naturally tip that direction. Progressives are nice people…some of my best friends are progressives, yatta, yatta….
It would probably be nice, though, to see a little more balance than the predominantly liberal situation we have in higher education today. E.g. 44.1% identified themselves as ‘Liberal’ vs just 9.2% who identified themselves as ‘Conservative.’ Older (age 50-64) professors were over 13 times more likely to call themselves Left Activists vs the newer instructors. Like to get some more “newer.”
George Hugh Wow somehow I strongly agree with your opinion. Thank goodness you elaborated on it. You basically just aired my grievances for my K-12 experience for me. Then I don’t care if you’re a conservative. You don’t need a political affiliation in order to share an American tradition of hating your K-12 experience 😂
@RyGuy94 Thanks for the comment
George Hugh Unfortunately, teachers pay is based on local homeowners tax creating a huge Pay range. Overall, I don’t think teachers are overpaid. Bucks County teacher salaries are the exception not the rule.
@RyGuy94 … Progressive teachers give good head …
When did we forfeit planning based on reality to planning based on presumptions that we fake to move forward without even taking our presumptions into a spelled out plan. What next when every expert tells this administration being wrong leads to innocent people dying. Is it to say later that if they were stupid enough to follow they deserve to die when confronted with that fact in some later interview without being held accountable for those deaths? Lack of accountability is the most idiotic part of our system that causes this man to knowingly lead people to their death. Presumptuous has always been a negative attribution. What gives?
its easy to give the recommendation when it doesn’t affect them
transylvanianite
or when they know that it won’t be listened to my most if not all of the States.
You are selfish.
Brian you are stupid

No one should send their children into a classroom until ALL Representatives and Senators send their children to public school classrooms in their states/districts. Until that happens, my kids stay home. Anyone thinking differently will wish they had never been born!
Why aren’t the private/charter schools opening if it is so safe?
DeSantis deserves to be jailed for his actions and criminal negligence.

Are you kidding me. You know come november this will go away. Democrats are pathetic. If you cant live life normal then why are you on this planet. If you want to crawl in a hole during this then go cry in a hole alone but let the rest of us be happy and live our lives how we choose you pathetic loser
@m s hey numb nuts, The Spanish Flu killed more people in the second wave after people got complacent and removed their masks.
We’re not gonna make that same mistake. Us Californians learned from this at least in Norcal
GEORGIA HIGH SCHOOL DOESN’T LOOK LIKE IT’S PREPARED
HALL JAM PACKED WITH KIDS, WITHOUT FACE MASKS
PERFECT FOR A SUPERSPREADER EVENT
Team Trump never talks about how kids, 10-19, can spread covid19 as well as adults can.
Is Trump sending his kid back to school; no!
The GOP convention will not take place, too dangerous. Sending the kids and teachers back to school, no problem.
Sure, send kids back to school at the height of a pandemic — what could go wrong?
Trump: “Schools are indoctrinating kids to hate America.”
Also Trump: “Open the schools, it’s very important.”
