@JoeyFiveandDimes Except it’s not a “fascist’s definition.” What you’re saying – Everyone able to participate in a “fair market” capitalist system – already exists to some extent, and the DEMOCRATS are/were already fighting for it. The thing is that the social Democrats or whatever you want to call them – I typically call them the far left – add in stuff like identitarian politics, all or nothing (pushing away pro-lifer Democrats), self-righteousness, etc. is all part of a larger problem that the Democrats need to solve. All of the above morphs into problem of intersectionality, which tries to cite certain experiences better than others through labels rather than actually deciphering the experiences.
The far left has taken things too far. I used to be believe in a lot of liberal social issues, particularly abortion – believing in the principle that ANYONE should be able to do WHATEVER they want – and this principle is being violated by the far left when they try to interfere in YouTube videos, striking down “hate speech”, etc., all the while claiming the censorship to be “necessary” for this “social movement”.

That may have been true in the past, but it’s really looking like that’s no longer the case, especially when the way to “push back” against efforts to make it that way, are to quit, and Trump is showing how he’ll go after anyone that goes against him.
I’ve been saying this for a long time, but your constitution was written in the general belief that the people in power will do the right thing, but was not made to deal with a situation when this many, are doing the wrong thing. After that acquittal, where the Trump defence was that he can do anything he wants to stay in power/win the election, and the general move towards things only getting worse since he took office, don’t expect the election in November to be a very fair one, presuming there’s even an election at all.
