A PSAC win is a win for all Canadian workers
No it isn’t. All that does is increase our taxes to pay this deadwood.
@Phil Bellamy So private sector unions see public sector unions get decent cost of living increases and demand the same for their members. That helps create higher wages in the private sector which non unionized workers compete in and drives up wages there.
@Jeff Trout Why does it increase our taxes? Just stop with the bonuses for managers who quite often screw things up.
@Jeff Trout Deadwood? Is that nickname at work if you even work at all?
@Jim Davison ya it is. And we clear the deadwood out within a day
Hopefully this will be the offer that PSAC/members will accept.
If they offer 10%, even 11%, it’s still below inflation. I highly doubt PSAC will accept that.
@Adam Melton Then it is time for the government to say take it or leave it. What is the point of negotiating if the other party can just say no until they get their way.
The union needs to bring the government’s offer to their members for a vote. The strike vote was moved up before most members had a chance to vote which resulted in 70% of the membership being unable to vote so the union needs to bring this offer to them regardless of whether they think it’s fair. Let the membership decide.
@Mike Graham I agree. If they say, no, then i will respect this alot more
Free warm jammies for every worker whether they show up to work or not.
Might be that way where you work but government workers are monitored the same at work and home and if they don’t do their job to the standard expected they get fired of if they are acting they get moved back to their permanent job.
@Jim Davison AWE. The only ones that think government workers get a raw deal is government workers that have never done anything else.
@roof pizza Well I have never forked for the federal government so that proves you wrong right there. All workers who see their earning power undermined by inflation are getting a raw deal. For the record most Canadians are supportive of this strike and stand firm with PSAC. Now why you are jealous I don’t know but I can assume like you did. Let me guess you tried for a government job because you thought it was easy work but couldn’t handle it or didn’t qualify or pass the simple tests?
@Jim Davison LOLZ. They certainly didn’t suffer during the pandemic like others have and and who’s to say that their pay isn’t already inflated, it’s the government unless you’ve forgotten? Let’s not forget world class pensions and benefits. Let them leave their jobs to work in an office elsewhere, I dare them.
Why bother reporting if you don’t have the details? 🤷♂️
😂 fr this video seems like they just had to post a video to meet quota
😂😂
Thanks for the update
The only offer PSAC deserves is a paycut unless we see tangible increase in quality of the serives they are SUPPOSED to provide.
Because a pay cut will improve services? Use your brain.
Ahem…
Everyone is equal.
GDP’s $14.3 Trillion
There’s 27 million voters.
We each are owed $275 000/year, after 44% is deducted from the $529 600/year for things like bullets, bombs, cops, schools and roads.
As of 2014.
Yes, the fair, equal share I’ve outlined does not account for inflation over the last 9 years.
PSAC, great work, keep it up, just remember who you work for, eh.
So they tabled a new deal with no new details…. 🤔
Offer and deal mean the same thing to you?
Why?
9% as long as it’s not compounding
You must have a billion dollars business.
This is what newsless looks like!
Work fromhome would that not help carbon pricing
How is it news if you don’t actually know what the offer is? Seriously….
Why our government can’t militarize them? To me they can work from barracks rather than from homes if they are so unhappy. When truckers went on strike the response from our government was slightly different.
Time the government brought in the emergencies act.
I stood at two “protest’s” 20 minutes each, Not One Person Honked or waved in support. 😂 🤡 it was so worth it!
Don’t offer them anything. Fire these lazy, selfish, ungrateful employees.
Just let them protest forever
WFH should not be available to government employees as they deal with extremely sensitive personal information of all Canadians.
Off the job— but still getting paid by the taxpayer.
Their union is paying the picketers not taxpayers
The strike employees should quit at once and find another job that pays what they want!
