…anyway, way too long…been doing the final training for Afghan police/troops for over 3yrs…started oct 7, 2001…
What Fareed is arguing is that we need to avoid another catastrophe like our rapid withdraw from Iraq. If we withdraw too quickly without setting the groundwork for a stable Afghanistan our troops will have to come back to Afghanistan again. It’s true that we’ve been in Afghanistan for too long, but it is the fault of both this President and our past Presidents for not doing this sooner.
