The money that Mexico is spending, using the army and all their resources, to prevent hordes of immigrants coming up from the triad,( Honduras, etal.) is money that the USA is NOT spending. In fact, Trump did mention it. This goes along way with deferring costs that we were having to pay for border security, and all the associated costs with health, food and placement. Drugs should be legalized and taxes, we would no longer suffer the burden of the cost of enforcement. This would end the conflicts in Mexico, which would let legal businesses thrive there, life would improve for those poor people in Mexico and South America, and then those people wouldn’t be fleeing for their lives due to constant threats from cartels.
