@Sean Sopata exactly, in america, just like in the UK and Canada, there multiple parties but the difference is that those parties get to participate in the big elections for either Congress or Parliament
@LuisPJ There’s a big difference between the UK and Canada’s multiple parties that actually cycle through power, and the other US parties. The other US parties just contain those that failed in the two party system so they run under a third party to get money from disaffected repubs or dems. All of the other US parties also just represent more extreme versions of the dem of repub platform on certain issues (i.e. green party, libertarians, constitutional party, and socialist workers party)

@blahpunk1 What you say is correct I believe but it is also true that the stated policy of the Democrat party is to eliminate the coal industry entirely. Unless I am mistaken.
@Kevin NYC – It might be. I just know there are different types of democrats. In my area there’s a lot of oil and gas development and democrats are about as soft to the petroleum industry as republicans are. Some democrats are more environmentally focused though and they might have eradication of coal as a goal. It seems decent to me, especially with the amount of natural gas that is being produced domestically.
