Amen! The intelligence community and diplomats will not say it but the United States is in bad shape domestically and foreign and its getting worse by the day with this President.

Don donny here in California we have to take classes in order to apply for ccw..they teach us not to be a Ricky rescue in the case of an active shooter, but use our weapon in a last resort type manner where our life is in direct threat..so basically if we are cornered…it’s common sense anybody who carries should not actively look for the shooter in a active shooter scenario!

The watch-word of public service is “Fearless advice, and loyal implementation”. One may not agree with one’s political masters, and have a fiduciary responsibility to provide them with “fearless advice” (which includes “That’s not a good idea, and here’s why…”), but once the decision is made, you carry it out faithfully, even if it makes you wince. No public servant has the obligation or right to get any party or candidate elected OR de-elected. If the current administration has good policies, citizens will recognize that and support it come next election. If they’re not good policies, they’ll recognize that too, and act accordingly. That said, one’s obligations as public servant are first and foremost to the nation and constitution. Many, if not most, public servants will have careers that span multiple executive administrations. And many initiatives will have time-arcs that span multiple administrations. The obligation is to see the initiative through, regardless of which administration prompted it, simply because citizens are depending on it being successful. *UNLESS* it is unlawful.
My deep respect to Chuck Park. While he is more articulate than many of the public servants I had the honor to work alongside, he reflects the ethic that they all show. I hope there is a way to bring more people like him into government.
