It’s important that we finally hear from this man publicly
He should be honest and say he’s not going to fight the Taliban because they are his fellow brotherhood.
Fighting Taleban was like prolonging a civil war, a brother killing another brother, whereas Ukraine was being invaded by foreign elements. Ukraine and Afghanistan are not comparable in this case.
This is not a man. This is a traitor
Powerful interview. Eloquent and poignant advice and testimony from President Ghani
@Atambwali Sametana agreed, so what can be done about it. I write so many comments that I think about carefully and the ones that get positive replies are the stupidest, most ridiculous comments. It must be that the smart people find other ways to communicate.
@Perry Pelican I agree. Here we are, with apparently diametrically opposite views, but we can debate while respecting each other. Maybe there’s still hope!! It’s always a pleasure to discuss things without resorting to abuse. And for that I wholeheartedly thank you. Maybe we could go back to just talking face to face??
This president is not going to fight the taliban because they are on the same side and that’s why he ran instead.
The fascinating thing here is the comments are full of opinions of those about a country and culture we have never lived nor experienced. My heart hurts for those who are oppressed and are unable to change it. Ukraine and Afghanistan are completely different places in history and support and military interests. Period.
Religion is the differense
Because afghanistan is a very interesting country. I’m proud of my country 🇦🇫
@Above The Law me too Brother me too
@Phoenix Rising (re: due to the fact that the majority of Afghans supported the Taliban)
You keep pushing this narrative yet turn tail and run any time some challenges you to produce facts. What election? What plebiscite? What opinion poll?
Ukrainians are fighting Afghanistans are praying
this is actually an amazing interview that does a phenomenal job summarizing the situation that unfolded over the last few years
what this interview doesnt account for is that over 300,000 afghan soldiers were at his disposal for months prior to this to defend the country. They were under direct orders from his office not to fight back. Not one shot was fired against the taliban. He had 500 security defending him which also did not fight. It doesnt account for him weeks before him running in his slippers, saying that he would die rather than leave and yet he left without a shot being fired to defend the capital. he is a coward and is responsible and his “brothers” to the Taliban. Dont be fooled people.
He’s a coward!!
@brendon albrecht The US government already predicted Kabul would fall to the Taliban in 6 to 12 months once we left. He probably wasn’t the right leader in running his country given all the corruption and dysfunction of the government and should take blame for that, but the bigger picture is that the US rebuilt Afghanistan, had 20 years to tackle corruption and poor performance and abandoned the project despite knowing it would fail. His final decision to leave though, meh, it’s the end result of wheels already set in motion. Usually heroes that die fighting at least believe that they can win and live, or if they know they will die, they die for a greater cause. His death would have accomplished nothing. No honor in dying for the sake of dying.
Should I deign feigning surprise that you subscribe to the likes of ‘Willy Billy’, Ms “@Jodie Hudson”?
Smh! So many keyboard warriors calling this man a coward. When was the last time you fought something other than traffic and heartburn?
Lol 😆
Usually, a real captain will go down with the ship instead of running away from it!
@DaSultan But many of its citizens have died or want to leave the country as their President did but they were not given the opportunity. Now they have died in a country that has no legitimate leader. Yes, it is not easy to be a true leader of a country. Such tragedies should challenge any leaders and their abilities in order to improve the process of national peace and well-being of its people. Show that he is a leader who can really avhieve something that may seem difficult or impossible even at the risk of his own life. That is what being a leader should be and not only wise but brave enough to sacrifice for the sake of the country and its people.
But what surprises me is that he, as a Muslim leader, ran away from his Islamic country, but many of those who died defending it were American soldiers who were not Muslims. Doesn’t he as the head of the Islamic state believe that dying in defense of the truth is jihad and martyrdom? Even ship captain will be willing to sink with the ship instead of running away from it!
@eXCeLSior this is not a movie I bet you won’t even stay in afghan for 1 day
👍 Great interview! I feel bad for him now, hearing his point of view. I’m glad he has the opportunity to explain his side and clarify things that have been misunderstood.
Don’t be, he left the country with suite cases full American taxpayer money.
He’s a coward!!
US stooge deserves no respect
“If you can’t kill the man, you attempt to kill his character.” wow love that!!
@Chop Suya He will only fight non-muslims but he will never fight his own.
The guy ditched his own people and didn’t even bother to have his army fight the Taliban.
This was a really good interview glad he came forward and cleared the air and you can tell he is a good honest man. This lies on the u.s. as much as it does the afghanian ppl this was a colossal failure to a war that should have never started.

That ‘good honest man’ turned his back on his people in exchange for a longer & wealthier life elsewhere.
@S Paul You are wrong, he left because he is not going to fight his fellow brotherhood.
I feel bad for the Afghani ppl. Everyone deserves a free and fair opportunity in life. We shouldn’t allow dictatorship or any group to control their ppl in an inhumane way.

What are you gonna do about it, invade?
Those people wanted this.
If you read the Koran they are doing exactly what their book is telling them to do.
The Afghan military is not going to fight the taliban because they are one the same side.
It’s remarkable how lies spread about someone but when they finally get the truth, you can see their humanity but you know the damage is already done to their reputation

He’s not going to fight his fellow brotherhood the taliban.
No sense in dying for a lost cause, especially when your own cooks are being bribed to poison you. I don’t blame the guy at all.
Typical culture warrior.
Run.
It’s complicated.we know what we are signing up for when trying to restore, free these people beginning 2001.we must have empathy, learn the lessons, not live in blame, hate, all human life matters.what biden admin did was sad, shockingly.
@Immabouttobe Bannedagain12 <<<=== coward behind a screen
I like the way he speaks. No exaggerating, dramatising. Simple and reasonable. Seems like a good man. It”s not his fault. I blame both Trump and Biden for what happened in Afghanistan.Wishing him all the best.
Great Interview! I totally understand his point of View. Its True there is a Huge difference between Ukraine and Afghanistan in 2021! Almost his entire Government and USA had basically given up already. There were approximately only 2000 US forces left.
He comes across as a very honest man, feel bad for him
Comes across is the key phrase here.
Thank you for posting this interview, the truth needed to told.
“I’ve lived an honorable life and am a self-made man.”
trump cannot declare either of those two things.
Such a soft spoken well articulated man. Great interview. My deepest prayers to all the people of Afghanistan.
prayers on youtube will never change anything, only real life matters
I am an Afghan
thank you
I gained a whole new prospective and understanding of this man, his character, and the decisions he made during a time of extreme stress and turmoil. Great interview and respect 🫡
