However, like all sane people, we endured 12 weeks of lockdown in the knowledge that it was good for ourselves and those around us. We also accept that a significant spike in cases (we have less than 40 a day, with a population of 68 million) could put us back in lockdown. I would accept that. I wear a mask when out. The way we see it here from across the Atlantic is that Trump is killing America. Here are a few ways he is doing so:
– downplaying the virus
– not wearing a mask to set an example
– getting in the way of people who can and want to help
– dividing the people
– withdrawing funding from WHO
– pressure to reopen too soon
– encouraging mass gatherings
– hoping for miracles
– lying about numbers and the situation
– sheer stupidity: injecting disinfectant, decrease testing to see drop in cases, hydroxychoroquine
Most of these are done in an attempt to win re-election, but by trying to get re-elected he is killing Americans. This man will stop at nothing to get reelected even if it comes at the cost of American lives

He emphasised the wearing of masks is a recommendation and not mandatory, he said they should try to inject disinfectant, he said he will withdraw funding, those are facts. @II nosferatu II You do know that it is 5x more deadly than the seasonal flu, right? 9 to 45 million people get seasonal flu every year, only 61,000 die. 3 million people get Covid-19 and 133,000 people are dead. If the same number of people got COVID as the seasonal flu, it would result in 2,250,000 dead. If we didn’t close down, it would be a lot more than 45,000,000 people with COVID and therefore many, many more deaths. It is bad…then there are the long term health effects to those who survive. We will be paying for this for a long time.
