Elon Musk will potentially charge $8 per month for users to be verified on recently-acquired Twitter.

In April, Musk said he wanted to "authenticate all real humans" on Twitter. Now, Musk wants Twitter users to pay for the blue checkmark verification system. That system, which is now free, is meant to identify the authenticity of certain accounts, including celebrities, brands, government offices and journalists.
An $8 monthly fee could include fewer ads, the ability to post long videos and audio, and priority in replies, mention and search – in addition to the long-coveted blue checkmark, according to Musk.

Doesn’t matter, I never use Twitter ever.
Like you need the money
it’s not about the money, it’s about the mfs that are abusing about status.
I understand the matter, doesn’t mean I fully agree on it. I don’t.
Who cares? I never liked Twitter. It’s trash, just as TikTok is garbage. Account long deleted….but I never went on it anyway so no big deal.
