Thank you, Rachel, for focusing on ‘the elephant in the room’….I was thinking that yesterday as I watched the impeachment hearings…..all roads lead to Putin. Time for the adults in the room to get serious about not letting our power be eroded by treasonous acts by Trump and certain Republican politicians.

I don’t think a day has gone when trump hasn’t committed at least one impeachable offense. and on many days he’s committed multiple offenses and these are just the one’s that haven’t been kept hidden from congress and secret from the public. this moron is selling us down the river big time. I guess i’d settle for his removal at this point or, barring that, his defeat at the polls. the sooner he’s removed by ANY means the sooner CRIMINAL charges can be filed against him.

American oligarchs and the GOP, itself, contributed greatly to disinformation efforts with bots and trolls, voter suppression and rigged, corporate owned and controlled voting machines designed NOT to leave paper trails. meanwhile, many GOP members in congress are preventing the passage if election-integrity legislation even at state levels. and then we have the oligarchs pushing pro-corporate democratic candidates. the whole process has become one big SHOW, a scam to create the illusion that voters have some choice in their rulers.
We’re about to find out.

At least we have an independent electoral commission who must follow rules when adjusting boundaries so gerrymandering is actually a foreign word to me. So is voter suppression – everyone from age 18-75 votes (over 75 can choose or be medically signed off to be removed).

His department was ordered by Congress to produce a report on Russian Oligarchs, and when they pushed him, he said (by accident, according to the Daily Beast) that there would be sanctions based on the report. His department then scrambled to do that, without coordinating with other departments.

Don’t you need an constitutional amendment for the changes you propose? Funny, I’m Belgian but I’ve read more about the US system than our own, and I now know more American than Belgian politicians.
