Election deniers are changing how midterm ballots will be counted in this state

What some may call a crazy internet plan might become a reality in rural communities in Nevada. Election deniers from 2020 are trying to change the way 2022 midterm ballots get counted in the state by incorporating paper ballots and counting by hand. CNN's Kyung Lah reports.#cnn #News

  1. “The truth has no defense against a fool determined to believe a lie.” – Mark Twain. ~ This sums up most Trump supporters.

    1. @kay armstrong well you would be wrong because she conceded 10 days later..

“I, on November 16, 2018, acknowledged at the top of my speech that Brian Kemp is the governor of Georgia and I even wished him well at the end of the speech,” Abrams said. “And in the middle, I talked about the fact we had a system that he managed, that he manipulated, hurt Georgia voters and the responsibility of leaders is to challenge systems that are not serving the people.”

    2. @Jason M , If you are afflicted you will never realize or admit to it. Explaining it might help you out, so do some research and learn for yourself. You won’t believe anything anyone tells you about it.

  2. Australia is well recognised as punching above its weight internationally, and for being a positive force on a wide range of issues. Unfortunately, the ridicule and opprobrium the Morrison government brought upon the country has damaged that standing, but there is great appetite to see Australia back in the game and on the right side of history.

    1. Remember the IRS official Lois Lerner revealed that conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status had been getting extra scrutiny, based on words such as “tea party” or “patriots” in their names.

  3. Why do they drive cars? They should walk everywhere because they don’t trust machines.

When they do their taxes (if they do their taxes) so they count with fingers and not use electronic calculators if they don’t trust machines?

So they use massenger pigeons, to communicate instead of phones, because they don’t trust machines?

  4. Lindsey Graham: “There will be riots in the streets if Trump isn’t allowed to break the law with impunity.”

This message has been brought to you by the party of law & order.

  5. If they are suspicious of the count just let them do the parallel count.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it but, the paper votes have to be guarded by members of all parties at all times.
Hopefully they’ll lose and be able to confirm their loss by the second time after the paper votes count.
Maybe then they can finally say the elections were fair.

    Edit
I think there’s something wrong with the reporter, at some points she’s breathing heavily and her eyes are wide open.

    1. In theory that’s correct. But if they have no experience in hand counting, then they may not have all the appropriate protocols in place. Maybe they can ask the Australian Electoral Commission for advice on hand counting.

  6. Surf Ninjas: “We didn’t actually find proof of fraud.”

AZ: ‘Let’s change the voting laws anyway.’

  7. He invited
    He incited
    They rioted
    Then he denied it
    Even though he’d implied it
    Now he must be indicted.

  8. The great innovation of conservatism in recent decades has been the systematic reinvention of politics using the technology of public relations.

The main idea of public relations is the distinction between “messages” and “facts”. Messages are the things you want people to believe. A message should be vague enough that it is difficult to refute by rational means.

One of the most important patterns of conservative message-making is projection. Projection is a psychological notion; it roughly means attacking someone by falsely claiming that they are attacking you. Conservative strategists engage in projection constantly. A commonplace example would be taking something from someone by claiming that they are in fact trying to take it from you. January 6 ring a bell? Trump tried to steal an election, by falsely claiming it was being stolen from him.

    1. @cheezruff then name one he has been convicted off . It shouldn’t be too hard if you think his crimes are numerous

  9. Maybe it’s time for United Nations to step in and send out election supervisors to polling places in the contested states like the UN has been doing in many other third world countries?

    1. @kay armstrong multi-party politics exists for only one reason : stability, and multi-layer trust.

We currently only have two parties, both of which assume the other is failed and untrustworthy (which is not to equate the two but to establish the reality of the situation).

The recent years have fundamentally undermined trust among Americans. Bringing in outside trusted observers to assist in that scenario to prevent a conflict or source of argument from occurring is a perfectly legitimate strategy.

I think Americans are probably too prideful to realize it is a smart idea that could possibly prevent a civil war scenario and by extension other bad scenarios, but it is what it is.

    2. @G MinK Definitely sounds like a good idea. There would probably have to be a secondary confirmation and correction round if we did do that though. Otherwise one side or the other could simply have people who purposefully vote wrong and complain for the purpose of trying to frame the other side.

  10. 3:45 – this guy says “we just differ in opinion…”
this is NOT an opinion – it is either fact and certified as such, or not
moreover, he stated that he “did not know” what was wrong in the 2020 election – he’s a follower, a foot soldier and they’ll count on that – but hey, he might not live up to expectations and may do the right thing in the end – we’ll find out

  11. When my guy doesn’t win, it’s crap, wrong, and rigged.
When my guy wins, there’s no way it was rigged.
    Sigh

    1. @Benjamin Henderson what I typed up is the best example and excuse of the crap they everyone thinks.
And yes, it only seems that only republicans get caught doing dumb stuff.
By the way name calling? After this I can’t take you seriously.

  12. *This is what actually happened. This video is not for kids, it’s shocking* LAYDAY.ML
Mr. Brain – respect to you.

  13. OMG this guy said “whether it’s true or not their perception is their reality” so he basically is given credence to “alternative facts.” We are so screwed.

  15. their distrust is odd in the light that no hand recount to date gave a different count than the machines.

  16. “Thats a perspective” Is it though? When it is be proven over and over again and those defaming Dominion having to pay up, then it is hardly a perspective. Then it rather is a fact. If he denies facts, how has he any job at all, anywhere as anything?
