A woman described by Braintree police as “elderly” drove her SUV into South Shore Plaza on Thursday, coming to a stop about 60 yards into the second-floor corridor of the mall near Torrid.
The driver, who has not been identified, was still seated inside the late-model Lincoln MKX when police arrived late Thursday morning. According to Braintree police, the woman stopped the vehicle on her own and bystanders were talking to her when police arrived.
Officers and a mental health clinician evaluated the driver on scene before she was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. Braintree police are requesting an immediate license suspension from the Registry of Motor Vehicles. No charges have been filed at this time.

Pls explain to me what mall u where at to drive up too the 2 floor that’s crazy and mind blowing I hope this lady gets her license taken away she’s too old to be behind any wheel of any car I’m not gon lie I’m voluntarily gonna give my license away after I turn 60 I don’t plan on living that long but if I do I’m done driving
@LisaS u might be right bt idc 60 like I said I don’t plan on living that far anyway so for me it won’t be that hard but I hope the lady gets the help she needs regardless of her age
@Kamauri Fitch You are obviously very young and I’m sorry you don’t plan on living to 60. When you are 60 you look differently but you don’t feel any different inside. And the years from 20-60 just zoom by. You just wake up one day and say “How can I be 60 years old?” “Where did all the time go?” So live your life with positive purpose, integrity, kindness and a giving spirit. You will never regret it. I hope this lady gets the help she needs also. The worst that can happen is to lose your cognitive ability, not knowing where you are, why you are there and not recognizing friends and loved ones. I’m betting on you living a long, productive life.👃🌄
@LisaS Your words are very kind and awesome however old you are I hope the same for you as well I’m 25 so I’m not really at a point where I may or may not understand but ik im not gonna look as good as I do now and that right there will drive me down hell the pic I have now doesn’t look as good as I wanted it too I guess I’ll end up figuring it out at some point I’ll get wherever the hell im tryin to be
Where did she find a door large enough to drive a car through?
“Huh, wattt?” I’m with the commenter 2floors down 👇 from me (pun intended) pleeeze explain
what mall you are able to drive a WHOLE car thru to the next floor up😳😵💫😳 because even contest cars are on 1st floor only. Her family needs to intervene ASAP.
She may have just created the next new shopping method.
She thought It was a drive thru mall
This reminds me of that old South Park episode about how old people are murder machines behind the wheel. To the point where they are driving up a staircase in a house after running into it, following Randy and the boys the whole time.
