At least four people are dead and dozens are injured after a major 7.0 magnitude earthquake ruptured the Philippines.

This is why we don’t build our homes (in earthquake zones) with bricks or concrete and NOT because we are cheap.
If we don’t build concrete houses here in Philippines, then how can we withstand the onslaught of yearly typhoons? We’re more prone to bad storms/typhoons than this huge earthquake.

You might not have as many earthquakes as we do but some states in the US we are only allowed to build with wood.
