So hire him in chicago. You can have his antiquated defensive scheme and his conservative play calling. His defensive scheme was great in 96. You guys fired him after getting you a superbowl appearance.

As a Bears fan I have nothing but love for Lovie, he got us to the Superbowl. That being said, having a 2-8-1 record in Texas isnt going to make anyone happy with you.
They didn’t even try to put talent on that team and Lovie got them to play hard!! They probably shouldn’t have won any games!!

And if it is a question of race then why would Houston hire him? It doesn’t make sense.
One thing is sure, if the effect of hiring a black coach is you can’t ever fire them if they don’t perform then no one will take that chance. (All coaches MUST be dispensable.)
The ultimate truth is that had he managed to do significantly better then he would still be there. Had he shown he was a star coach that could out coach others and bring Houston future wins then they would have clung to him. Because, ultimately, the NFL is about two things to the owners, money and prestige. I could be a green, androgynous alien with 5 tentacles, but if I could coach the Texans into the playoffs they would hire me and keep me.
