Dr. Gupta: Traveling For Thanksgiving Could Pose The ‘Deepest Consequence’ Of All | Deadline | MSNBC
Sad even if follow guidelines restrictions will be in place for Christmas. This is case frontline workers should get a break those able to do so. Not everyone has worked from home, or has worked straight whole time
Another problem is since hospital beds are unavailable if someone has a stroke, heart attack, etc. They’re out of luck since selfish jerks can’t follow very easy guidelines. We’ve got phones, computers, etc. Think what it would have been like in 1918.
Playing with fire my foot, this 💩 is ablaze.
Hasn’t anyone been paying attention? In the summer…we heard “WINTER IS COMING”…..now,
WINTER IS HERE
No. People have the memory of a fruit fly. They are always on to the next new shiny in two seconds.
People are very shortsighted and selfish. They’ll be infecting their friends and relatives. We’re a bunch of spoiled children that want immediate gratification. America has been an embarrassment.
I really want to live until late spring when a vaccine may be available. I am ok if the herd gets thinner. You can’t teach stupid. Our medical system could collapse. It’s already at capacity in many areas. I would also not be upset if Macdonald’s and other fast food sugar fixes went by the wayside and the fat Americans had less for our healthcare system to deal with.
I am only one man. My experience, strength and hope means little.
Go do what you want America, I probably will never have to meet you and hear your perspective. 😶
For some people, it will be Thanksgiving in Nov and a hospital for Christmas.
Be safe out there.
If not for yourself, but for others. 🙏
thank you for saying – this is so true.
I am a party of one, but I know I have to give my cat some orange roughy, I just hope he isn’t interested in my lobster tail. 😺🦞
Hospital and death for Christmas. Hohoho
over the top hysteria.
God bless you doctor and family,
To gather in groups for Thanksgiving during a raging, out of control pandemic when all the warnings say DON”T do it.. DON”T put people in danger … Is like setting the house on fire with all your loved ones in it and saying ” They’ll be fine.. we’ll call the fire department later” .. It is the height of selfish recklessness !!
Yes, AND THEY DON’T CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Fundamentally it is NOT worth the risk.” Why is this concept so difficult to understand?!
…true but still, it’s very sad when you’re getting flack from your own family…about overreacting.🤷♀️😔
@Linda Bratsch So ignore them. Use your own common sense for self-care, and take care of YOURSELF. They’re going to do whatever they want, anyway. Take care of YOU. PERIOD.
My girlfriend is a manager in a grocery store. The store closes at 4 pm and she has to be there until 10:30.
I am going to bake some orange roughy and broil a lobster tail and a couple fixings. I might even bake dream cake. I will drive 30 miles down the road and give her a care package. It’s me and my cat and I hope he doesn’t paw my lobster tail. 🦞😺
@Jonathan Mol Awww!! How lovely!
@Jonathan Mol Common sense, good food, a critter, and some romance. Sounds like a winning combination, and a great safe plan. Have fun!
I’m cooking a 20lb turkey for the two of us and will can the leftover turkey. Down the road, we’ll have family and friends over to share this turkey with when it’s safe.
And give *thanks* they are still with us.
I appreciate the amount of time and occurrences Dr. Gupta puts into the message. The depth is seen. Thank you.
Testing is neither easy nor quick, and it is very expensive, and not always covered by insurance. We have to make testing accessible and affordable.
My parents seem to think its ok now because they think there is a vaccine when its gonna be a while before it can truely be distributed
I miss my family too so I’m going to hit them with some festive coronavirus.
Oregon Govnor said to call cops on neighbors if they have to many at Thanksgiving, but cops stand down while Democrat cities burn? Nothing dumber than a liberal DemoKKKrat.
Fa la la la la la la la la!
Basically stay home. No matter what.
DECEMBER WILL BE OVER WHELMING. BECAUSE OF ALL THE TRAVELERS.
INSANITY.
They need to keep showing all the bodies piling up and being stored in trucks.
Come on, it is call the THANKS for GIVING me your virus holiday after all.
A loooot of people who will not listen to this advice will be burying a loved one in the coming weeks/months 🙁
One less Christmas present for them to buy, I guess. Can’t say they weren’t warned.
The simple message is this:IF you take risks with your parents, they will not live until Christmas! Is it worth the risk because don’t think it won’t happen to you!
Life saving advice.
