Governor Brian Kemp announced that Georgia will reopen certain parts of the economy, including salons and bowling alleys, later this week. Dr. Deborah Birx said she was skeptical that people could maintain social distancing during these activities.

Dr. Brix is the Kellyanne Conway of public health; she talks a lot, but she doesn’t say much.
Its depressing she did a lot of good hiv/aids work
@Dennis Manson obvious you do triggered much?
@frank hayles I don’t get triggered… you nor anyone else posesses that ability… but hey nice try…..big fail
@Dennis Manson sure chief I guess that’s how you respond to any woman who talks back🥵
She should be ashamed she’s even defending that decision at all
Thought all you libs wanted them to follow the science..
@toddburress68 oh ok, todd, you go first!
Pay attention it’s not worth it in the long run lies will be lost
@toddburress68 you have just made the point, that some people really are too stupid to live…hint: you
In 2007, a study in the Journal of the American Medical Association analyzed health data from the U.S. census that experienced the 1918 pandemic and charted the death rates of 43 U.S. cities. That same year, two studies published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences sought to understand how responses influenced the disease’s spread in different cities. By comparing fatality rates, timing, and public health interventions, they found death rates were around 50 percent lower in cities that implemented preventative measures early on, versus those that did so late or not at all. The most effective efforts had simultaneously closed schools, churches, and theaters, and banned public gatherings. This would allow time for vaccine development (though a flu vaccine was not used until the 1940s) and lessened the strain on health care systems.
The studies reached another important conclusion: That relaxing intervention measures too early could cause an otherwise stabilized city to relapse. St. Louis, for example, was so emboldened by its low death rate that the city lifted restrictions on public gatherings less than two months after the outbreak began. A rash of new cases soon followed. Of the cities that kept interventions in place, none experienced a second wave of high death rates
Now that’s data we can use!
dead north I don’t care just shut up and stop commenting. You are just wrong and dumb
@Atheism is evil and immoral I’m an atheist.
@toddburress68 Yep, the rat you smell is the fat orange one stinking up the White House.
@Real Fast I’m, thinking you’re a faux intellectual who gets half the information and then you let your prejudicial opinions take over. There are a shitload of extreme right morons who do this with climate change data. So. instead of your lame rationalizing, consider that people with the coronavirus in the U.S. are getting care beyond what they’d get with the flu. People with the common cold who die, do so when in critical condition. Their symptoms got out of control. Hey. it was just the flu. Think about that for a moment. Putting it in college basketball terms, facing a flu virus is like facing Iowa State. They’re occasionally good but not much to worry about. Facing coronavirus is like facing Kansas. You bring you’re A game. So, we brought our A-game against the coronavirus… social distancing, constant monitoring, test kits emerging, etc. Our A-game has resulted in significantly more deaths than a flu. What I’m pointing out, you fucking idiot, is if we did absolutely nothing… millions would die in this country, which has been established by EXPERTS at research hospitals from Johns Hopkins to Stanford.
“There are different communities in different places”
She’s shaking in her boots.
I was pretty shocked when I heard this announcement. Besides having to report for duty, I’m still staying home. Stay safe and God Bless.
A massage from 6 feet apart is a bit too kinky for me.
Sandy, Masks will be worn no one thinks you could social distance!
Happy ending ?
lmao!
Sandy Buttplug your comment is really stupid delete it and stop commenting now
@MrLeooreo Only a 98% chance of surviving!
She wants to keep her job…so, instead of being a real doctor, she is just another ring kisser…
She is following the science.. the numbers are coming down in GA.. if you take out the lone hotstop of Albany Ga..

yinyurl.com/v2r8dgt 👈
Elaine Mickley stop making your stupid comments and be quiet nobody likes your comments they are idiotic
Remember in November when the death toll skyrockets in the next months it was all because of the Republicans’ impatience and states’ lack of support from Trump.
You people claimed there would be millions dead already. How could you have been so wrong. Yeah I know, your next projections will be right on target.
Yes!!!!! Vote for Biden!! 30333020330
*All I’m hearing is a woman trying to keep her job at the expense of other people’s lives*
@toddburress68 well aren’t you a ray of sunshine.
if she speaks up more strongly she will be removed from her position. it is that simple. would you rather have someone else up there who is willing to lie?
@LTRAN *I rather have someone willing to do their job, Omission of the truth is nothing but a lie*
@tai’ infio Nesa i dont think you have accepted after 3 years that this administration does not care about truth.
@LTRAN *Then what’s the point of it all? what left is to use your god-given common sense and to hell with what this administration regurgitating out to the public every day*
As a Georgian I am more afraid of Friday than I have been this entire time.
Kimberly Childs yes I am too!
@lozell colvin ..YOU are absolutely correct..Even a blind man can see what these racist governors, and their president are trying to do to the Black community.
Kimberly Childs you are seriously stupid please get rid of this comment and stop commenting moron
Kimberly you have every right to be afraid..if only the dead could speak.
Listen you stay indoors. Let all those idiots go out and start to mesh again and see what happens to them first. And get ready. It will start right up again. More infections, more deaths. I do the super market once a week, rite aid, walk the dog, take an occassional bike ride. That’s it. Then I’m home.
People are asking who is still doing nails and hair….
Your local mortician .
STAY HOME !
You are so dumb. Its time to let those of you afraid of this bs virus stay home and those who dont buy into proaganda to go back to their life.
I live in California and everybody is working. Trump was right covid 19 is a democrat hoax
Magda Guise maybe you should look into the white house briefing what the hot mic caught as all reporters sit there. Orange man was right, they’re all fake and complicit. We all been bamboozled.
Can I smoke what you dump supporters are smoking? Lol
“Because there are different communities in different places….” Word salad for dull ears and minds. And she’s got that Betsy DeVos smile down pat!
Different communities in different places. Hmmmm. This is true!
And fashion statement of nurse Ratchett.
Yes, these people are pathetic!!!!!
” I don’t know how, people are very creative” 😂
Ken Caisse hope virus will yield to creativity
Like whaaattt?
What a suck up nut job.
Dr. Birx is going to need an angry translator: “People can be creative” meaning: “Don’t you dare! Don’t you dare go outside!” Lol!
Really? cause I’m understanding is that she is saying good luck to the people in georgia who want to reopen.
Birx’s vague and coded speech is going to contribute to thousands of deaths. Going too far in tiptoeing around Trump’s ego…
@Bw z Not lying, no, but not being fully frank enough in the face of Mr.Trump’s new conference rallies, which focus on him.
Why don’t you do her job, and see far you get, Doc?
Bw z Prove it with specific evidence from reliable sources.
Excellent comment. Faucci would never stoop so low. That’s why Trump stopped asking him to speak
If shes’ saying things as “politely” as possible, to ensure that she doesn’t upset trump and other republicans, being a doctor during a global pandemic in the WH task force, then I think she stopped being a doctor and became a politician instead.
Logic Purgatory “do no harm” is out the window
It’s a tough one – because if she pisses him off, then she’s out then who is giving the info? Stephen Miller?
IF SHE TELLS THE TRUTH SHE’LL BE FIRED BY BREAKFAST VIA TWITTER
She and that negro doctor want to keep their jobs, so sucking up to Trump.
And the 2020 Darwin Award goes to……. Georgia👏👏👏👏👏😔
I don’t know,…. Florida’s right up there. Maybe the Darwin Award should be awarded weekly or daily.
@Adrian1018 Governor Kemp gets to be first guinea pig!
I’m from Georgia.
This stupid, even for Georgia
I’m 5 minutes away from GA in South Carolina and this is beyond stupid, I’m still working 12 hours days so called essential job for a greedy corporation and I’ve been using my vacation days and went back to work today and I feel so awful, I’m very tired and my chest is hurting and I’m sneezing and coughing, thanks a lot Mc Misser of South Carolina!!! I hope this backfire and hit all these governors home, starting with their kids!!!! Let them see how this BS feel!!!10 fold!!
I’m in the Bible Belt, too, and we are avoiding going out.
Someone want to explain how you social distance in a tattoo parlor, hair salon, nail salon or massage parlor?
Tattoo parlor: tell the customer to tattoo his or herself and offer ‘guidance’ from six feet away as the process unfolds
Hair salon: tell the customer to cut/style their own hair and offer ‘guidance’ from six feet away as the process unfolds
Nail salon: tell the customer to do their own nails and offer ‘guidance’ from six feet away as the process unfolds
Massage parlor: have the customer roll around on a ‘special’ lumpy bed for 60 minutes to grind out their knots
#creative
Keith Kendrick dr gadgets arm extenders
Keith Kendrick just shut up your comment is really stupid. I hope you learn someday that you are dumb
Atheism is evil and immoral i have to hand it to you, I have never seen such an effective troll who is able to troll with in their comment, their profile pic, and YouTube name all at one time.
I commend you troll, as your very existence proves that not all evangelicals are good and god fearing men and women.
I’m a hair dresser. Havent decided if I’m going back in when/if its allegedly safe. Itl have to be done smartly. No more than 4 in the shop at a time? Hows anyone going to make any money with social distancing in a service business?
Tough pill to swallow: until there is a vaccine, you social distance.
