Dominica’S Parliamentary Representative for Roseau South happy with progress at Giraudel

Roseau, Dominica – Parliamentary Representative for the Roseau South Constituency (which included Giraudel) and Minister for Information, Telecommunications and Constituency Empowerment Honourable Ambrose George is happy with the progress of work on a pavilion for the Giraudel playing field. Minister George is describing the projects as one which is timely and necessary for the young people of the Giraudel community.

“It is expected that after this facility is completed that the people of Giraudel will be a in a better position to host sporting games as well as play amongst themselves. Following that we will proceed to provide lighting for the playing field so that they can have both day and night games; to provide some fencing facilities for security purposes; and to ensure that the area is properly graded so that they can have a very convenient playing field for the young people of the Giraudel Community,” Minister George stated.

The construction of the Giraudel playing field pavilion is costing in the region of one hundred and twenty thousand dollars ($120,000.00). The project is being facilitated with volunteer labour from the people of Giraudel.
