I get the news fatigue but does no on think it’s strange the DOJ makes a move like this?
Uh, yes. This should be totally against the law. No funds should be spent on legal actions when he was a citizen. Period.
After Trump lost his ”fixer” Michael Cohen, he replaced him with William Barr.
Smart move! Trump had to pay Cohen out of his own pocket, but now we taxpayers are paying Barr.

The accusation and defence need to be tested in court. Regardless, Bill Barr should not be using the DOJ, a public institution, to assist Trump in a personal matter.
Agreed the State should not use it’s unlimited resources to protect any Citizen INCLUDING the President from a trial by jury. Effectively, Barr has sanctioned State funding to Protect Trump from any Criminal or Civil prosecution. Abhorrent misuse of the Office of The President of The United States.

@John Mathews Probably none of us have law degrees, but some laws are easier to interpret than others because they are directly linked to the Constitution of the US, In fact these laws may not be misinterpreted by law because it’s so important to the bedrock of Democracy in the USA,.
This happened before he was elected and is not in any way entitled to use the resources of the Federal Government to defend himself!!!
