Doctor Who Diagnosed First Confirmed COVID Case In NYC Reflects On The Pandemic 1 Year Later | MSNBC

Dr. Angela Chen was only five months into her first post-residency job when she diagnosed the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in New York City, 10 days before the WHO named the coronavirus a pandemic. Dr. Chen joins Ali Velshi to discuss what her experience has been like on the frontlines and the tough decision she had to make to keep her son safe. She says, I will be “able to tell him when he is older, that if he is able to do good when the world is in disarray, and make a small impact, that you should do it and I hope that's the lesson that he takes away from this.”» Subscribe to MSNBC:

  1. Unfortunately, the western world were talking about their freedom while the virus was rampaging. It tells you what they will have become in countries in Europe and US had weak health care systems.

    1. The US has some of the best health care in the world. It’s our LIFESYTLE that ruins our health. Not our health care system.

    2. Dangerous freedom will always be superior to comfortable slavery. But NPC’s with no internal monologues won’t ever understand that.

  2. Commend Dr. Chen and the little man for agreeing to let his mom do her good work. Have less enthusiasm for rent-seeking nature of the Medical profession in America these days and the bizarrely inefficient for-profit healthcare system that only really sort of works for corporate employees or those with platinum lined deep pockets and/or diamond studded insurance policies. Don’t think for a moment if you are not in the 1% the healthcare you get comes anywhere close to what the ultra rich take for granted.

  3. Angela jin… have to remember that name…… TO all main stream media and their PUPPETS…F.O.A.D…
