This is a DOCTOR: she of all people knows the risk is real & should happily “temporarily” forgo visitation. Skype, call, facetime…whatever you have to if your child’s safe. Better a living child than no child, yeah?? If she were a man this wouldn’t be covered. Anyone who’s had gender or lies used against them in a custody situation knows hell exists on earth. IF a case has to take place you better be ready to suffer and watch your child suffer: right or wrong. Decisions should be based on individual merit and actions. No responsible parent needs anyone telling them right & wrong. Anyone putting the child’s wellbeing and right to EQUAL or GOOD parenting below their petty pride should be punished. The system is set up to focus on the person pointing out high conflict parents rather than focusing on the individual causing the conflict. Pain is a money making scheme. Laws are biased, archaic and pure ideology. Spite happily breaks laws & uses it to gain advantage, honesty is discouraged bc the truth is ugly & you can’t be seen as an angry co-parent even if you SHOULD BE ANGRY. I wish my ex had 1/2 the passion I see in this thread. Joint custody with no child support; he has the world and gives it away to whoever will take it during his week as long as it means one upping his ex. 6 years and he’s had another divorce, 2 illegitimate kids with different women and one on the way with a new mental midget. Women do the same. It’s not my job to decide my child’s wants or ex’s wants: we just have to agree to work together and that’s not hard if you love the children. Too many good parents are robbed/trampled by the system; the children pay most. I’m voluntarily single with one child and that’s used AGAINST ME. The opinion of someONE with a robe and gavel is just that: ONE *opinion*; but one that can destroy worlds. Neither a few hours peeking into personal lives or who can afford the favored attorney should determine sh*t, but it does. Takes longer to adopt a freaking dog than 99% of the actual time spent in court versus preparing & recovering from it. I know plenty of Fathers I’d choose to entrust over Mothers. Both genders can be equally toxic. We have 2 judges in our county, a male who favors joint custody but leaves Moms legally responsible & powerless & a female judge who “favors” Dads the same way. It’s wrong. Best of luck to you all, stay strong & stay above the mud slinging. 🙏 No responsible loving parent who WANTS to be involved should be denied that opportunity.
@Eileen McDonald she is in a same sex relationship with another woman… she is very cryptic in not exposing the fact that she is in a same sex relationship… if you look up her past public court documents, you can see the child has been exposed to domestic violence, how do you jump to such conclusions?

@Lelynn Miller My birth father used my siblings & I as weapons against our Mother after they divorced. They divorced when I was 5 (my siblings were young) & 30 years later on. I can still remember the hateful acts he did to my poor Mother. Using us as weapons against her in his ‘war’ against her.
He even did the ‘disappearing act’ taking us away. Refusing to let her see us & then telling us that she didn’t want to see us. He even told us she was dead at one point.
To try to stop us from asking when we were going to see her again. All of which lead us to cut him off later on as adults. The husband’s actions are only going to blow up in his face later on.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the girl turns her back on her father & has nothing to do with him because of this when she’s older.

(we’re all products of rape btw/Dad wanted Sons, to carry out his family name, but he kept coming up with girls/Mom had 4 kids & 4 abortions &then a 5th kid, with my StepDad, who ALREADY had 4 kids of his own/the BradyBunch aint got NOTHIN on US! 😉) she KNEW she DIDN’T wanna stay with the same guy that she’s been with, since HighSchool, so she never actually MARRIED him. 🎓 she wouldn’t marry my StepDad either (we just CALL him “our StepDad” cuz he was a better Dad than our real Dad EVER was) my parents were 16, when they got together. when they got pregnant, they BOTH had to drop outta school. he started working on cars, outta the garage & drinking all his $… &then he’d go from funny to violent, in the drop of a dime. i’ve always told my Dad that “1 day he’d go too far” & low & behold, he wound up spending 14 yrs in prison, for beating his fiance to death.🙄 after he got out, we went back & forgave him, for the hellatious past we were forced to endure. but i guess THAT wasn’t good enough, cuz as soon as he got off parole, he drank himself to death. 😳 (i was the 1 that found him, dead on his couch, WHILE his neighbors were robbing him) funny how ppl can have such horrific stories in their past, aint it? that’s why i usually try to NOT b critical of ppl… u never know who’s had it worse than who. it’s like i always say.. “tho the grass may b greener on the other side of the fence, if u look at the yard that’s on the other side, of your OTHER fence, the grass is usually more muddy.” (that’s “Lelynnosophy”)

I think someone else will continue this discussion. I just wanted to make a comment but it is a waste of time to go beyond that. I will look it up in the court documents in miami to follow this. But again, I assume the judge will change his order tomorrow. I do not know the case, and i dont know the people or the child. Best wishes for the child. I hope these people get a judge who knows about neurobiology and the effects of stress on a childs brain that leads to addiction. Cannot be fixed.

She didn’t lose her kid – the joint custody was suspended, not terminated. Good on the Judge on protecting that litter girl’l life and for the father to taking steps to protect his daughter when the mother was putting her harms way. Yes – any doctor or nurse working a high risk covid-19 treatment hospital/clinic should make arrangements for other family members to take care of there kids. All of my nurse and doctor friends have placed their kids with grandparents or other close family that are working near covid-19 patients. It is the responsible thing to do during a pandemic.
