  1. That never was the majority consensus and was always thought to be a statistical anomaly. Because the area being studied was narrow both chronologically and physically in the rock layers it produced an anomalous data set and that wider study would even out the anomalies. This has proven to be the case.

  2. “scientists now say” are the three words why I always seek a second and third opinion from Doctors…I’m just saying.

    1. Some scientists said that. It never was a major consensus. Statistically speaking, the hypothesis was always in trouble and provisionally rejected and, as subsequent finds have shown, rightly so.
