Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis traveled to Iowa – an early Republican primary state – and tested a strategy to differentiate himself from 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump ahead of what many believe will be a White House run. Trump all day
@lou dag I ya dreams
Wait a minute he’s saying that we have to be careful about billionaires and their companies and that’s very same moment taking backhanders from them?
What politician doesn’t? Oh yea Trump doesn’t he doesn’t need it lol
DeSantis writing a book about freedom makes as little sense as Trump writing a book about running a successful business.
@Inferno Just someone have more money doesn’t mean he is a good person.
@Inferno Well, you may like him but i donยดt see him either with 3 billion dollars.
People say sh*t like this and then go โYes Gavin Newsom, please lock down our state againโ
The content of books banned in FL schools is so grotesque that the media had to blur it out when it was presented at DeSantisโ press event ๐คฃ
@Trump is going to prison you sure about that? Mind your tone ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ
Some people are really out of touch with the world around them. To think Desantis is more appealing and and less alienating than Trump is quite the stretch. Heโs just as big a hypocrite and both are bad for a truly free America.
โ@Noreen Q Yes he does
I don’t understand this fear of public schools indoctrinating kids. I went to public school in 2 different states, 1 leans blue and the other leans red… In neither state did I ever experience anything even CLOSE to indoctrination… Is this something that actually ever happened in FL before Santos decided to make it his thing?!
@John cookย bothers me to
@Liberals haveitallbackwards Its a democrat thing… Yet who has been running to the government to put rules/laws in place about abortion? Who has been running to the government to “protect their guns”, even though no one of note is actually trying to fully take them away?!
Two of the few people that can walk out onto a stage wearing no makeup and still manage to convey to you that they both are indeed clowns.
I dunno about few, that’s basically everybody in Washington.
@Brandon5.7 Maybe it’s just low-rent politicians, you think?
โ@Daniel Vosburg At this point, im convinced it’s all of them. I had some hope when Bernie, AOC and Krenshaw showed up. Not because I support their policies, but because they where authentic. They’ve obviously been corrupted since then and now I just focus primarily on my local politics.
@Brandon5.7 Gave up on the Democratic party recently. I’m interested in practical not messianic.
She told the reporter “Trump offends people with what he says” *AND DOES* , and DeSantis is no different. The prevalence of ignorance in this country is ASTOUNDING.
You can’t really blame people for the ignorance though. At this point everyone’s just throwing things against the wall to see what sticks. Eventually people will realize that they all suck, and we need to get fresh candidates in there.
I was done with her thoughts when she argued that Trump had a great presidency.
Unfortunately the past is history in learning history is educational, hopefully we all learn something from it sooner or later๐ค
Agree
Ron DeSantis always looks like he’s still on a poppers rush…, ๐๐ ๐คฃ๐๐น !!!
He loves fighting wokness in schools but never talks about teachers challenges or paying teacher more, how odd๐คจ
@Walter Shumate I’m happy he is but do you think he can do that nationwide? Also, if I was a teacher, I wouldn’t mind hush money to go along with the polices DeSantis is pushing especially if I had children. Still 50,000 isn’t enough but hey to poor teachers how probably went almost a decade without a raise it’s alot.
@Walter Shumate Where’s the lie? His doesn’t talk about the challenges everyday PUBLIC shool teachers deal with. Unless you mean the thing he hates and then changes the narrative of to make ppl think teachers hate them too and that’s why kids are failing. Manipulation and smart politics. He promotes his hush money raises to teachers why? Probably to look good as a presidential candidate knows full well he can’t repeat Florida nationwide, no one wants that. Yes teachers get that money you deserve but let be honest bragging about his” achievement ” vs. repeating what happens in Florida when everyone is a republican in leadership and the others are afraid of u is not the same.
@Deason Not all teachers are good but most ppl have at a minimum 1 teacher they remember that really cared whether you listened at the time or not. YES become a teacher today but unlike a warehouse job you’ll need to go back to school and get some student loan debt. Also, if you don’t have it already get some “patience” and learn some stress techniques because you’ll send almost the exact same amount of time with kids not a kid that their parents do. Most daycare make way more than teachers do a week with less children and sometimes no college. Maybe you shoud work at a daycare
Showing the reverse side of the Iowa flag was pretty clever. It reads “awol”
I mean technically its Awoi. but thats swahili for MIA. So close enough
I like that. I’m going to steal it.
Wow. It’s hard to believe I’m listening to CNN and not Fox. Seems like just this past week that all these talking heads were saying that DeSantis had no charisma, wouldn’t hold up on the national stage, poo-pooing the polls rating DeSantis as a contender – and now listen to the change of tune. All that’s missing are the behind the scenes emails where Anderson Cooper says – ‘ I hope we don’t have to talk about DeSAntis much longer, I really hate that guy’
Anyone using DeSantis and subtle in the same sentence should not be taken seriously.
The fact the focus is on nick names and not policy, shows you how far down the sewer politics has gotten!
If i had to choose between DeSantis or Trump.. wait.. I dont have to
“I don’t wanna spoil I am Legend…”
*Spoils the movie immediately afterwards*
Ron desantis canโt run alone on what he is doing in Florida because in Florida he is governing with a majority in the Florida house ,and has Florida Supreme Court majority that is all conservatives .Atbevery angle he has the advantage and can do anything he wants which he has been doing.Running a national campaign is different from running a state campaign. And based on what those who have worked with him said he hates being challenged and it doesnโt take much for him to buckle and raved under any form of challenge .
Wow so he actually is running.
