This is like a kidnapping case where the hostage is held for 55 day and then released without the ransom. Except in this case, people were dying on the front lines for nearly eight weeks. There was harm. There was foul.

If it helps there are two categories of people in any bribery scheme: 1 the victims who may or may not submit to it, and 1 the perpetrators who extort the bribery scheme.

Oh, it’s totally not a surprise he would invite the leader of Turkey a month after handing him a big slice of Syria on a platter. I would expect him to not invite the Ukrainian President or any other democratic leader, for that matter. He should be inviting the leaders of all the allied countries which are feeling threatened by Russia.
