The 3rd Precinct went up in flames and was vandalized on May 28 amid widespread protests against the killing of George Floyd while in city police custody. Officers arrested Wolfe on June 3. He waived his Miranda rights and admitted that he was present for the fire, that he took property from the building and that he pushed a wooden barrel into the fire, according to the official complaint.

He’s skilled at what he does, has nearly 30 years of experience in mining and construction, has worked at job sites in new Zealand, Australia and the US, and yet there have been instances where he has been laid off and replaced by someone willing to do the job for $9 an hour, without benefits, because it saves the company money. He finally decided that he was done with this crap and he just drives a haul truck now, until retirement. Yeah, yeah, I guess its a dog eat dog world, but rather than blame the dogs, we should blame those who dole out their food.

@Richard G Barry That is precisely why America needs to lead on renewable energy. The market sets the pricing….you have to build to a price point that is affordable or you don’t have a customer base. The other thing is that as manufacturing, quantity of scale and competition increases than prices go down. We’re talking about years from now and it’s a “goal”….this is where you set a target and then you adjust based on the environment. Anyone that thinks that we’re going to be driving electric cars and that there will be no gas any sooner than 2050 is kidding themselves. We don’t have the infrastructure and it has to make sense economically.
