@Kieran Proux Generally agree with you on most of your point, would just say that they should probably go for negligent homicide, and immediate termination.. She made a mistake that wouldn’t be possible if she wasn’t wildly overreacting, it says a lot about her character if she can get so hyped up that she loses all situational awareness like that… Whether she is convicted of anything or not, her days as a police officer should be over, she clearly does not have the stomach for the work, or the ability to remain level headed in a stressful situation.. There is no room for someone like that dealing with potential life and death situations…

@You mad bro 97 Another way he wouldn’t have died, is if the police followed the law and didn’t use deadly force. I kind of hold police to a higher standard when it comes to following the law, since they are trained professionals who volunteer for the position and who’s job it is to know the law.

Both parties are responsible for the destruction of their community. Once the riots and destruction have ended who is going to pay for all this? The corrupt civic leaders won’t pay for it. The citizens will pay for it with higher taxes, good citizens and more businesses will leave the area and things will get even worse. All because of idiots like Maddow, mayors and rioters. Jeez, American justice is pretty weird. Evidence about how the victim loved his mum and something bad happened to him two years ago really isn’t evidence. Does the defendant get to call evidence about how much he loved his mother?!
As lame as that “evidence” is, I think it’s more along the lines of testimony to character. You know, just like how they’ll mention how the cop who punches a handcuffed unarmed defendant in the face was a Boy Scout with numerous badges and honours. But I guess that’s different right?
@Teddy Rasputin Well, yes, in principle I do think it’s different (forgetting this particular case and the fact it’s a police defendant). The character of the defendant does logically affect the probability of him doing stuff. The character of the victim doesn’t: it’s not evidence, simply sob stories being thrown in to affect the jury. Most jurisdictions don’t allow that.
@John Cox I’m not a lawyer, and have no wide spread knowledge of what most jurisdictions allow. The defence will and already has tried to characterize the deceased. Drug addict, large violent black male etc. Both prosecution and defence are dealing with a jury of people. People are weird and emotional things. Any factor either side can use to weigh things in the hopes of a favourable decision that’s allowed will be used. It doesn’t have to be this case it can be anywhere anything that’s advantageous can be used by a good legal team it will. We don’t have to like it. It just is.

The defense requested that the jury be sequestered as a result of the Wright shooting. The judge denied this request. The defense is establishing grounds for appeal.
Always fully cooperate and comply with police.
Many lives would be saved if people did this one little thing.

I actually took the time to see what the warrant for Wright’s arrest was for. After reading about it I think the legal action involving Wright’s death should go forward but Wright was a thug not a martyr.
